The place is perfectly clean. Jayce and Jessica went way beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. They had excellent restaurant recommendations, cooked delicious food and were of great help whenever needed.
We stayed with Jessica and Jaycee for two nights in Tanah Rata during our trip through Malaysia. Their place is located very centrally and is spacious, tidy and has all the amenities one could ask for. What really makes them stand out is their dedication and passion for hospitality. Make sure to check out their home cooking and get some great recommendations for the Highlands and Malaysia in general. Definitely worth a recommendation!
While touring Malaysia, we decided to stay at Do Chic In for our Cameron Highlands leg of the journey, and this was the best decision we made during our holiday. Not only is the place super cozy, with a great view, but it has the best hosts we have ever had the please of meeting! Jaycee and Jezzica are simply amazing. Very friendly, and always in a good mood with excellent English and cooking skills to die for! From even before we arrived to Ipoh to take our rental up into the Highlands, we were simply smothered with information on how to reach their place and what to watch out for on the road! Not only that, but their knowledge as locals was invaluable to us and helped us make the most of our stay there. They knew exactly what the tourist bus schedules are and had suggestions on where to go and at what time in order to avoid the hordes of tourists. Moreover, they also suggested we visit some lesser known spots which were breathtaking! We had made our own plans before going there, but we were very happy to switch things around at the suggestions of Jaycee - and thanks to her, every bit of our stay in Cameron Highlands was amazing! Furthermore, on our departure day Jaycee suggested that, since we had some time left before delivering the rental car, we should visit one last spot that is very well hidden from tourists - Kek Lok Tong, down at the outskirts of Ipoh. Man, were we glad we got this advice! The road to this temple complex is so well hidden that we would have never found it without local help. Nevertheless, thanks to Jaycee's advice, we were treated to the most beautiful cave temple complex we have ever seen, opening up to breathtaking gardens in the back. This is hands down way better than the more famous Batu Caves in Kuala Lumpur. If you are ever visiting Cameron Highlands, Do Chic In is the place to stay. Thanks Jaycee and Jezzica for your amazing hospitality!…
We decided to leave Taman Negara earlier and very spontaniously, so we booked this place in the morning and moved in in the afternoon. To say that I was happy with this place is to say nothing. 1. This home stay is very beautifull and cozy. There are a lot of very nice and lovely details you could feel the coziness from every corner, everything was made with love. 2. JS is the best host I’ve ever met. Her english is perfect and she is very, very nice and professional. She advised us to go to Langkawi throught Penang and we didn’t regret about it. She deliberately explained us everything and advised where to go and what to do. She provided us with maps, taxis, restaurants, touristic attractions, tours and next hotels. She ironed my jacket and gave me her warm jacket, because I was freezing at night. Unfortunately, we had to move out the next day, because everything was already booked. However, she recommended us a hotel just the next door and invited us to have dinner with other guests next night. She was always available per Whatsapp. Last day I’ve forgot our adapter there and she put it in the post box with some cookies. How sweet is it??? 3. JS and another host Jessica have cooked for us amazing VEGAN breakfast. If was whole grains toasts, one with scrumbled tofu, the other one with marmelade, banana and strawberry, plus mango and dragon fruit. You can choose time between 7 and 11 am and the breakfast will be on the table by this time. 4. I really can’t find any words how to describe this amazing dinner. They cooked for 9 people for 3 of us completely vegan. We had 5 ! vegan dishes – two salads, tofu, tempeh, rolls, whole grained rice mix with quinoa and vegetables. This was a heaven! So tasty and delicious I thought I will die, so full I was. And we were welcomed as special guests, because we’ve already had to move out by this time, which we appreciated a lot. Moreover, because I am a nutritionist and do blogging but was too late to participate in the cooking process, JS made for me pictures of recipie steps and promised to send me the recipies. The best host ever, what should I say. 5. The room was very comportable and clean, we had a great view and our own bathroom. We could have vegan cookies, coffee, tea, soy milk and water as much as we wanted. 6. All other guest were super nice and we really enjoyed our time there. I loved this place so much, that I will even post this review on my own homepage. So far the best bed and breakfast we’ve ever been in. Many thanks to Jaycee and Jezzica for such a great experience, hospitality and care.…
I appreciated this place for many instructions and information. The owners are very nice and good taking care all guests. A nice place to breath in-out, re-charge your energy and feel of nature. Try once and you will fall in love. Thx Jaycee & Jezzica again for warm welcome:)
We stayed at Jaycee and Jezzica’s place for three nights. I’d describe this place as home. We were so comfortable and taken care of. Jaycee helped us a lot to book our tour for exploring the region (full day explorer- which was amazing!), our bus tickets to Penang, arrange us a taxi. Therefore, everything was so smooth and we had peace of mind all the time. On top of that, their interest of ensuring that we have great time was precious (tips regarding the city, places for visiting around CH were very good). We stayed in the room with private bathroom, which was very comfortable and with a relaxing view to the hill. One of the best things about this place was the dinner (Upon request)! We had 4 different Chinese dishes with an amazing taste!!! I wish we could have had more days. Everyday, we had a “surprise” and good breakfast. Jaycee even prepared us sandwiches for our trip since we were leaving early. If you are looking for comfort and home-style, nice local people to chat with and getting local tips, and feeling that you are taken care of and being hassle-free, this place is definitely for you!…
My first stay here was 8 years ago, when Jaycee and Jezzica first started sharing their home us, travellers. Fast forward to the present, we've visited again. Stepping into J&J's home is a trip down memory lane. Nothing much has changed, same excellence as 8 years ago. Where my kid used to crawl all over the floor, he's now running around the house. As before, this is a wonderful, comfy place to stay at. After a long day of exploring Cameron Highlands' attractions, this is a great place to get back to. Kick off your shoes, relax in the common room (the complimentary WiFi helps!), before retreating to the bedroom for another day of adventure ahead. Breakfast is of course, yummy, not to mention Instagram worthy. So get your cameras ready. Since the hosts have stayed here for a decade (maybe more) they are well versed in the ways of Cameron Highlands. They know where and when traffic may be and advised us on routes, locations, travelling times, etc. to avoid the touristy crowds. But if it is your very first time to Cameron Highlands, by all means, go join the touristy fun! Final night with J&J, they don't just provide bed and breakfast, they hung out with us and shared awesome stories of their experiences running the place. Such great folks. Ending note: awesome clean place to be at, great food, wonderful company, will definitely be back again.…
It has a pretty strategic location to be reached by bus station and within 10mins walking distance from the local market We took a triple room and a standard room. The rooms are clean and cosy, come with a shared bathroom. The balcony outside the dining room is a great overlook that offers serene view of the mountain and nightsky with tranquility. We joined the dinner session with other travellers and spent great time together, exchanging interesting stories. The host,Jaycee was articulate in explanation and helpful enough to help us with the trip planning to Penang Overall,a recommended stay compared to other relatively noisy accommodation in Cameron Highlands
Jaycee & Jezzica were the perfect hosts: courteous, extremely knowledgeable, incredibly helpful, and great chefs! Had a great multi-course, stay-in dinner one night that was memorable! Jaycee provided us with plenty of options for exploring Tanah Rata, from tours to trekking to area restaurants. Accommodations were cozy and comfortable, and the location was just outside the main town, so it was quiet and mellow at night.
We were welcomed by an amazing host, in a spacious, beautiful and very clean apartment with our own room with private bathroom. We were given plenty of tips, Jaycee helped us plan our tour in Cameron highlands and the transport to Our next stop. I sincerely highly recommend this accommodation !
