I really cannot find a bad thing to say about my stay here. The staff were incredibly kind and patient with helping me sort an administrative problem and I really appreciated how they helped us. They were very friendl professional and courteous. I felt that my family were treated really well and my 6 year old declared that she had a brilliant stay. We liked the breakfast and felt that the room was cleaned and decorated to a very high standard. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

Always a safe pair of hands this venue. Good parking, decent staff, an ok breakfast with comfortable rooms. Don’t let the railway station at the side bother you you can’t hear it! Pity they removed the Starbucks coffee machine though! Would always stop here when I’m Cambridge

Excellent value for money, convenient location for IWM Duxford just off M11. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Powerful and spacious shower which makes a change at this price point. Breakfast included for £89 for family (3) room. Quiet and comfortable. Friendly staff.

I stayed here for 2 nights in order to visit the Civil Airliner Collection at Duxford. I’ve read previous reviews and don’t recognize this hotel from them! Especially, the comments about rude staff. I found every member of staff to be charming, helpful and polite. If I had to choose one ‘star’ it would have to be Jill. What a caring and kind person. Thank you Jill. My room was quiet, mega clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the standard Holiday Inn Express offer and I don’t think some of the complaints about it are justified as it simply adheres to an IHG brand standard. The reason for my imperfect score is the evening food offer. When I checked in I was told that the ‘main restaurant’ was in the Red Lion pub opposite. I booked a table and turned up. It was absolutely appalling! One of the worst meals I’ve had in years and very overpriced. The menu is so outdated and with almost no vegetarian options. It felt like being in the early 1990’s. I would STRONGLY suggest that staff don’t recommend it as to do so will tarnish the reputation of the hotel. On the second night, I eat at the hotel. However, the choice is limited to pizza or curry. No salads, no jacket potatoes and so on. Again, there were almost no vegetarian options. The food and service was MUCH better than at the Red Lion (frankly, it couldn’t have been worse!) and for non-vegetarians there’s loads of choice. I would stay here again, happily, but would give the Red Lion a miss!…

Room was fine. Clean especially the he bathroom. Noisy if you don’t like being right next o the train station. Worst bit. Staff were dismissive and bored. Not friendly at all. Especially in the morning at checkout. 2 were slumped on chairs at reception giving advice to the grumpy girl who checked us out. We paid for breakfast yet when we checked about about 1015 were told it had finished. We accepted that but felt it was unreasonable to allow us a coffee from the machine in the foyer free of charge. Their attitude will mean I now look elsewhere for another budget hotel when I am in Cambridge

Having previously stayed in a Holiday Inn this year, I was looking forward to this hotel stay. In short, if a premier Inn opened within a couple of miles, this place would close within weeks. When we arrived, the pull out beds in the rooms hadn't been setup for the kids. We had to ask reception to bring sheets etc. The air con/heater in the room turned itself on randomly through the night and evidently had knackered bearings from the noise it made. Breakfast was pitiful: about one third the variety of a premier Inn buffet with stale croissant, cheap sausages, over dune scrambled egg and naff, dry bacon. (No hash browns, no mushroom, no black pudding). The decor was tatty and the hotel bar tiny and things out of supply. The bed was comfy and the shower very nice. A bit more attention to the cleaning and dusting works have been nice. It stays in business because there's very little competition but if Whitbread read this, you know what to do.…

Didn't stay in the end as felt intimidated and uncomfortable after many conversations and emails with the reservations manager. They then charged me to cancel, even though I had been reduced to tears at the thought of stepping foot in the premises. I have NEVER felt like this before.

Nice clean room, well furnished, friendly helpful staff. The meals at Red Lion, on site, were ok but a bit expensive for what I had. The ham, egg and chips was perfectly edible, but the Wiltshire ham described on the menu, consisted of three thin slices of packet ham, not quite what I expected, the result was that I ate elsewhere on night two. The morning breakfasts were very good, great choice of bacon, egg, sausage etc. I'd stay again, it's very handy for IWM Duxford.
