We stay at the Neo as a quick stop off after arriving late into Sri Lanka airport.
The hotel is very close to the airport, less than 5km and takes about 10mins in a taxi to make.

We paid something like 400/500 rupees (maybe 5USD?) for the airport transfer via tuk tuk which was arranged by the hotel. If you want a more comfortable transfer it will probably be double that - but it's not far, maybe 15 minutes in total and just a few km. I didn't see anything at the hotel alluding to exchange rates, there are kiosks at the airport though. We actually used the ATM machines at the airport to get our cash - there was a limit to how much money you can take out at once but was quite a convenient and easy way to get cash.
