You know what you get with this brand of hotel, the booking process was a bit of a chore, but once at the hotel the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and warm, the breakfast was actually good, particular the bacon which was a lovely crispy smoked rashers just as I like it. The bar had a limited selection, but the thing that makes this hotel is definitely the team who couldn't have been more helpful.

Went to collect a guest at the IBIS Lincoln and was charged an excessive amount for waiting in the parking area to collect a paying guest. Hotel says there are plenty of parking signs around, that parking is not their responsibility that there is a 10 minute grace period. Yes that may be but really IBIS can you continue to upset your guests and potential guests with such an arrangement? What are you trying to do stop parking by non guests? The car park only had about five vehicles in it at the time. Never mind will now know never to use an IBIS hotel in the future and will strongly advise friends, colleagues and family to think twice about using this hotel chain.

Stayed here this weekend Saturday 25th September to Monday 27th September and was really pleased with the room and finally been able to come( this room had been booked since just before first lockdown). Breakfast however was a different matter on Sunday morning the bacon I had was cold but I put it down to the temperature in the food area being quite chilly but then this morning (Monday) everything was cold, the sausages , bacon ,egg ,beans everything. I told them they were lucky I wasn’t a hotel inspector. They brought the probe out to test it all and it was too cold. What a disappointing end to a nice weekend with my family. I did get a refund for Monday’s breakfast but I think it might have put me off going back.

So let's start with the room - Beds very uncomfortable and the mattress has a mattress topper but the mattress is so dirty and needs a good vacuum you would be better off going to Premier Inn. WiFi very slow and better off just using your mobile data. Shower temperature control did not work so the shower is either boiling hot or boiling hot. Next the Restaurant - Food is very hit and miss the only decent item is the lasagne. The breakfast is very poor I ended up reheating it once I arrived at work in the microwave and they don't follow your requests so not good if you have allergy requirements they also have no ketchup for the breakfast rolls, the milk is disgusting seemed out of date. Work has booked a travel lodge for me for next work trip in Newark so glad not to be staying here again.

Ibis Lincoln "does what it says on the tine". It's not a luxury hotel but if you want a decent hotel reasonably priced you couldn't do better. The rooms are clean and tidy, the check-in quick, and tea and coffee available in the room. The hotel has its own free carpark which is a bonus. Definitely worth a stay if you're on a budget and I would stay there again.
