My family of 4 booked for three nights last week. Yes - I had read the reviews but thought we would give it a go and see how it was. We are not fussy by any means, but we were having a holiday, so our stay needed to be 'nice'. I had expected the two bedroom villas to be old,...

Hi Gurty71. Thank you for your feedback. We ensure that the products we have to offer people are always clean and maintained, however we cannot meet everyone's expectations. The villas are our entry level accommodation options, and as you pointed out the cabins closer to the beach are a different option. The cabins are all air-conditioned, which is a massive...

Please know I do not write these types of reviews, but after our experience I feel people need to know. We had not been away from our family farm in three years, so we took four nights to spend away, and found what I thought to be a basic comfortable cabin on the beach last minute. It’s a beautiful spot...

Hi CarmenRobson1973. Thank you for taking the time to review Shelly Beach Holiday Park, and we are as disappointed as you are that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. Late last year we commenced a refurbishment of some of the cabins, including replacing the staircases and we are continuing throughout the year on this, and the redevelopment...

The two listings on TA are somewhat confusing. Sun Valley Tourist Park, which is a caravanning and camping park, an old-style type park, also contains a large number of cabins. To access the cabins by car you drive through Sun Valley and you check in at the Sun Valley Tourist Park. The check-in process was easy enough and the staff...

Hi Kay B, thanks for taking the time to review Shelly Beach Holiday Park. Last year the decision was made to amalgamate our two businesses into one - hence no more Sun Valley Tourist Park nor Shelly Beach Cabins. We have commenced a program to refurbish the cabins; including new staircases, with some other significant changes to commence in the...

A last minute find with staff very willing to help. The cabins are air conditioned now. The place is clean and the beach is the way life was in the 70's. There is a great coffee place, Munchas, in the surf club that is very popular, and The Balcony restaurant above that. Both are a short walk from the camp...

My wife & I have stayed here twice now & loved it both times. The cabins close to the beach are the best, they are not expensive & big with a separate bedroom & lounge/kitchen & have everything you need. The location is superb just across from Shelly Beach Surf Club that has a nice cafe downstairs for brekky everyday...

Hi Steve M, thank you for the great review. Not only of Shelly Beach Holiday Park but for the brilliant recap of everything that the area has to offer. There really isn't much more I can say to you, but congratulations for making the most of such a great location and sharing this with the wider community. We look forward...

We had a 2 night stay but checked out after the first night. The rooms were not tired they were yawning! They looked great from the outside but inside were terrible. Hi VIk20a Thank you for taking the time to review Shelly Beach Holiday Park. We too are disappointed that you didn't enjoy your stay. We are currently planning a refurbishment of our cabins, and we ensure that all of our cabins are kept clean. Overall good accommodation. Clean and comfortable. The stairs to the bunks are very steep and do no suit younger children. Lacking kitchen items such as a coffee plunger or tea pot. Good location, the Surf Club has nice cafe and coffee

Hi Peter S, thanks for the review. We appreciate your feedback and recognise that the stairs are steep and we are working towards a solution for this. Sorry about no plunger or tea pot, but we do have a kettle - but like you said the Surf Club which is just up the road does a decent coffee. We hope...

We stayed here for a couple of nights after being at Blue lagoon resort. The cabins have no air con, but huge fans, which suffice but not when it is really hot. Hi Lisa, thanks for taking the time to review us at Shelly Beach Cabins. We are going to be commencing an upgrade of the cabins, the park and all of its facilities later in the year. So hopefully next time you return to stay with us we will be able to show you some of the changes we have commenced.

Standard cabins are dated and in need of an upgrade. For the price you pay, you would expect better. Small lounge/kitchen/dining area with ceiling fan, kitchen is well equipped. Main bedroom with double bed, wardrobe and ceiling fan. Bathroom tiny with no storage. Stairs leading to the upstairs bedroom are atrocious! If you have small children or someone not particularly...
