We had a pleasant stay in Aree Tara resort. The receptionists were very kind and always smiling. Rooms were cleaned every day and housekeeping were just as the people from the reception always very kind. We didn’t ate there for breakfasts but we did order dinner once and that food was excellent and the presentation was nice. Worth staying
Resort maybe a bit of stretch, a hotel is more like it. Just away from the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang, made it the place to get the best of both worlds. The hotel is surrounded by numerous travel agents in which you can get any of the numerous boat tours and scooter hire. Which makes getting around and activities easy to do. A nice pool, even though shaded most of the day, and a good selection for breakfast. The only downside I would say is that it is getting to that point where a few things need a refresh and updating. On the whole though I would definitely stay here again.
Our room is well-maintained and I find their pool area relaxing too. Their breakfast buffet is super nice with lots of food to choose from. Its location is good and that's one of the reasons why we chose this hotel. We had a wonderful vacation, thank you!
Amazing pool. Very nice food and cocktails. Helpful staff. Great location - around 10 min walk to the centre of the resort and a stones-throw from the night market (which is a nice trip). Rooms very nice and the bathrooms in the rooms are very modern and stylish. My only complaint is that there are areas in the room which need resotration such as bashes to furniture and scuff marks on the walls. The room we stayed in was overall great but needs furniture repairs and a lick of paint.
Stayed for a week. Had a pool view room which was very nice. Comfortable stay. They have a decent selection for breakfast with an egg station for your preferred order. Only improvement would be improved bedside lighting so you can read at night and a tune up to the coffee/ cappuccino machine.
This was our 2nd stay here and we were not impressed. Location is good but that's about all. The bed is placed on a base that makes normal access and getting out impossible as there is a big wooden shelf that it sits on. Also, if your not careful, it sticks out so far you will slam into it in the dark and cut your shan open. Like I did, mentioned to reception and they just laughed... the shower sprays all over the floor as curtain is 10 CM too short so it's like a wet room. We had an elastic band in the bathroom that stayed all 6 days- they couldn't be bothered to pick it up. We left it there out of curiosity. Obviously the bathroom door was never closed whilst cleaning as behind it was absolute filth. The pool is in the shade all day and very small. Pool water was filthy and we didn't risk going in. Drains outside hotel absolutely stank - common problem in this beautiful country but very off putting if you use hotel bar. Bed was extremely hard. WIFI..... absolutely appalling, no signal in room and balcony, vary poor signal in reception again, staff just shrugged shoulders. Plenty of other choices, won't be going back. Just about average and disappointing…
We stayed at Aree Tara Resort as a family, so we occupied a total of 6 rooms. Check-in was smooth, and most of our party got what I would say the 'jungle view', which overlooks an empty plot of land behind the hotel. It's a very beautiful view, and pleasantly peaceful. The other rooms we got were courtyard facing, which were not as glamorous - my room in particular had a window which can be seen from a corridor, so we kept the curtains closed for privacy. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the bathroom comes with a very strong vent which allowed for quick drying. There is both a shower and a bathtub, but the shower curtain is not very effective, making for a very wet bathroom after use. The location is great, with lots of places to eat nearby, many convenience stores, and a quick walk to the Ao Nang Night Market. The beach and shopping street is just a ten minute walk away. The hotel comes with a nice pool which is overlooked by the courtyard facing rooms - rooms on the ground floor have direct access to the swimming pool. The only thing we did not enjoy about our stay was the very strong sewage smell coming from the drain outside the hotel. This is of course outside of the hotel management's control, but it was not comfortable to sit in the open space lobby area since the smell is so strong. Other than that, we had a nice enough stay.…
Stayed there for 3 days 2 nights, it was a great stay. The receptionist was helpful and informative. The room was clean and enough to fit two persons. The hotel has cute swimming pool enough to accommodate all guests. The pool bar was alright, just that they only accept cash which is a bit annoying.
My partner and I booked this hotel as the images provided looked great and it was faiy cheap so we thought it would be a bargain. Check-in was fine no problems but once in our room on closer inspection, we felt it was very run down in comparison to the images on-line. The bathroom particularly did not feel very clean or inviting. I cannot say it's anything to do with the room rate either as we found another hotel for the same price that was modern, clean and luxurious in comparison. Having said all this I canot fault the staff, they were friendly, polite and helpful when required. Definitely in need of some modernisation and the star rating is not an accurate reflection of current facilities provided.
Summer 2017 : + : Good hotel in the center, close to the beachs, good reception, swimming pool, transfers… - : Krabi too quiet neighborhood, breakfasts not free, Don't stay too long in this area, quick boring
