As family and friends we booked the whole 9 villa at Cha Wan Resort, Krabi, to celebrate my grandsons 18th birthday. The staff were fantastic. Fresh cooked breakfast every morning. Clean rooms with fresh bedding and towels. They helped out in any way they could including taking us into town by Tuk Tuk. The villas were spacious and with a lovely terrace with furniture. It was Songkran whilst we were there and the staff supplied face paints, Leis and and transport for us. The water festival was so much fun, one of my best days ever. There were a couple of problems with the air conditioning and hot water but the owners and staff tried very hard to sort it out and even cooked a meal for all 18 of us as way of an apology for the inconvenience. Can’t ask more that that. The pool was clean and very well used by us. One tiny change would be for a light to be fixed above the mirror in the bathroom as I guessed where my make up was going on for 2 weeks. Thank you for a fabulous holiday to the staff at Cha Wan Resort.…
Wow what can I say about these villas! They are amazing, you are made to feel like nothing is too much trouble. The staff are hard working and such beautiful people. The rooms are large and are kept very clean. The air con goes on and off, we didn’t have air con for the first 5 days which was a pain but it wouldn’t put me off the place. Had the best time thanks cha wan resort x
Well what can I say!! This place is a gem we was made to feel special everyday. Nothing is to much trouble, the rooms are very clean and cleaned daily. Breakfast was a banquet of different foods. And I have fallen in love with all the staff. Pool is fantastic!! What more can I say, I hate writting this review as I want to keep it a secret. I recommend this place, if you're a big group it's perfect. Thankyou to you all xxx
We were happy that we found this villa, consisted 9 rooms for 22 pax! The villa for our own! Located not too far fr the market, beach and restaurants.. The staff (only 4of them) are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, bathroom are clean and spacious, they provided breakfast although its limited. It is suitable for big group. We were really enjoyed the stay. Although sometimes the AC may not working well.. But still it was enjoyable stay!
We've stayed in this resort in a group about 20 people for over two weeks. It's a great and beautiful place. The placement of buildings helps isolate from surrounding street noise of passing by cars, so you can go outside and do some work without any disturbances. The bed was hard by our preference, but surprisingly comfortable. Never woke up with a backache or a swollen shoulder. Every room has a nice terase to sit and relax in. The shower / bath is massive and a great place to relax, not to forget that there's also a pool. Which in the deepest part is about 1.50 m. It's pretty small, but enough for 2-3 people to fully enjoy themselves at a time. There's also plenty of other entertainment: a well made karaoke room, snooker table, electric piano. The only thing that is difficult is the meals: we found that meals (dinner) is too small to our liking and the selection of breakfast got also lacking after two weeks. Some staff members know english better than others, but in general it's a bit complicated to communicate effectively.…
We went as a large family occupying all 9 rooms. The resort has good specification. However the maintenance of Aircon and TV was lacking. The food was good but the cooking was restricted to Thai Cuisine only. The staff were warm and courteous though spoken English was average.
We were group of 8 couples for holidaying. The resort has 9 villas which are only available to group travellers. The staff especially the care taker lady is very nice and courteous. Dinners were all freshly made and tasty Breakfast was also freshly made and quite adequate The property is now a bit old and in need of urgent repairs and refurbishing. The old wooden furniture is a bit dated and rooms need a fresh look. concept of Karoke room, electric piano and snooker on second floor is a unique lovely idea swimming pool is an apology and needs to be larger slightly far from the beach though. overall we had good time and experience
We spent few days in this hotel. It offers two-floors cottages: a room on the first floor and a room on the ground floor. The rooms are large and, to be honest, they are nice. The number of rooms is small and thus the number of guests is not large -- lovely and quiet place. Breakfast was ok. They offer Thai food and an European version of a morning meal. The pool is quite small and we didn't use it at all. Staff was polite and friendly but their English wasn't good enough to be attentive -- problems with understanding all the way. However, all necessary issues were resolved eventually. The hotel is located quite far from the beach. That wasn't problem for us. Nothing to complain here, everything was "ok" but I'm not entirely sure if would stay there again.
An absolutely charming and luxurious place to stay. Room could not have been more comfortable and the staff was so accommodating. It was an easy walk to town and there were some nice restaurants along the way. Becuase of the unevenness of the land, there are a lot of small steps which could be a problem for some.
Consists of 5 separate 2-storey buildings housing 10 rooms set in quiet location away from main tourist street. I'd requested an upstairs room but we got no.5 on ground floor, which was actually very nice and cool and had a fish pond by entrance. Room was large, beautifully clean and smelt divine, and outside was a lovely shady balcony, including clothes airer. Stunning spacious bathroom with bath and shower, and there was also a second separate toilet. Jasmine and frangipani bushes scent the air and there's a small swimming pool with 8 sunbeds on which clean towels are placed each day. I have to say that during our stay, the water was too far warm to be refreshing! Delicious breakfasts are served in the open-air restaurant above Reception by very friendly and helpful staff, and an iron/ironing board organised from reception meant I could iron our washing before moving to our next place. Our only criticism is that the mattress (our 8th in 3 weeks) was hard to the point of being uncomfortable and we're firm bed fans! Other than this, we had an excellent stay in a truly beautiful place that enabled us to take a longtail to West Railay where we stayed in 2009. Lovely to see those beautiful limestone cliffs rising up out of the water but the volume of day tourists have spoilt it, and we were so happy to return to peaceful Cha Wan!…
