It is the right place to stay for who loves nature and looking to spend time away from many tourists and big crowd. Gecko is very natural place, situated in excellent quiet place but just few meters from the coast, restaurants and shops. The owner, Nui, is amazing, very helpfull and welcoming person and it always was a pleasure to...

We stayed at the Laughing Geko Bungalows with a large 9 person group for several days. Nui, the owner, was very accommodating, laid back , and extremely friendly fellow. The Bunglows were nicely located just off the beaten path to make you feel at home but close enough to experience local food and the nighlife Ao Nang has to offer....

We happened upon the Laughing Gecko huts by chance.. One night turned into one week! The charming owner Nui is fantastic, he speaks several languages and will bend over backwards to help anyone. We loved everything about this place, from the superb shared dinners to the lovely quiet beach and visited again a month later on our way back through...

Our trip wouldn't have been half as good had we not stayed here. Nui is the best and most accommodating lodging owner I have ever met. He is super friendly, incredibly helpful, and a hell of a guitar player! Our bungalow had everything we needed, and the breeze waking you up in the morning is priceless. I'd say the highlight...

Laughing gecko was just an overall positive experience. The bamboo bungalows create a true "thai" experience. The owner, Nui, did everything he could to make our group of 15 twenty-somethings comfortable during our stay. We were a group of American English teachers living in Thailand and chose to stay at laughing gecko for part of our Christmas vacation. Nui made...

We (married couple with 2 teenage daughters) stayed here at the start of our Thailand trip and enjoyed our stay so much we decided to spend the last night here as well. Nui is very caring and will do whatever he can to make people feel comfortable and relaxed. Basic accommodation but the place had a very laid back, relaxing...

Very relaxed and very friendly, only 2 minutes walk from the beach, great common area too hang out, and the highlight of the evening os the shared, buffet style dinner. Bungalows are nothing special, it's the atmosphere that makes you enjoy the place.

A gem of a place only 2 minutes walk to a beautiful beach. The bungalows have a relaxed communal atmosphere and everyone got together for a meal most evenings. Nui made us feel extremely welcome and can play guitar brilliantly! Definitely stay here if you're looking for a chilled out stay in budget beach bungalows in Krabi.

The main thing about this cosy place is the superb communal atmosphere created by the community dinners, where you can talk with your fellow travelers and listen to the owner Nui playing his acoustic guitar. Nui is a great guy who goes a long way to ensure a great yet laid-back stay. Nothing bad to say about the bungalows, the...
