The room was a reasonable size. When we arrived the toilet was dirty, which was strange as everything else was spotless. Mr Chang swiftly rectified this. When reading reviews on this property I noticed that someone had doubts about the bedding and whether the cover could be removed for cleaning. My wife checked on this, the bedspread does have a removable cover and it was changed during our stay. Mr Chang is a good host. On the first night we were kept awake by the guest in the room above. In the morning Mr Chang came to us and apologized and told us that he had moved the guest to another room. The lack of sound proofing is a bit of an issue but was really the only negative comment about the Homestay. The room had air conditioning and a fan. This was great as we did not need to put the a.c. on during the night. Having the seating area outside the room was good, especially as we were often entertained by Tun the dog. He must be the most photographed dog in Thailand. The location is good, handy for shops and restaurants etc. …
Just a note to say we actually checked in here. The woman that checked us in did not speak English. Once inside the room was SO small that there was not room to place our 2 suitcases. We tried moving furniture around to make room, but could not do it! There was a small fridge. Bathroom was very small. The bed did not have a top sheet and the cover on top of the bed looked and felt like satin. We doubted it could be washed between guests, but weren't sure. We were supposed to stay 4 nights and just couldn't do it. Checked out, talked to the owner who was very upset. We paid for one night and left. Just be aware that the room was very small and dark and the sheet situation was concerning.
Host was a very nice guy. We felt really welcome. Minor point, the toilet was not clean when we arrived. Neither was the shower. Maybe it was forgotten, these things can happen. Looking at how things were managed by the host (very precise and professional) we expect it to be an accident. The stay was nice, quiet location from main street. Expect a bit a walk in hot Ao Nang though. It was good value for money!
This is a fab place to stay in Ao Nang - far enough away from the lively and busy beach front but close enough so as not to be a problem if you want to venture down. Down an unassuming back street off the main road to the beach, the honesty is situated in a quiet, mostly residential area with a couple of great restaurants just steps away. Only a few rooms in a traditional style building off the beaten track make for a great place to unwind at the end of the day. Mr Chang was a great host, organising a scooter for our stay and always on hand to answer any questions. Cozy, clean rooms in a quiet area - loved it!
Ao Nang Home Stay is a great place if you're looking for a place in Ao Nang or near Krabi. The rooms are small but cozy and nicely decorated. Mr. Chang helps you with everything you could need and there is an amazing restaurant with breakfast just 2 houses down the road. But the best thing is Dun, the dog of Mr. Chang! You couldn't ask for more, especially at this price.
I recommend Aonang home stay made I feel like I'm in my home. The place like 5 stars hotel very clean and lovely designed traditional Thai high class style specialy the owner very helpful and very kind also the lovelydog (Tun) always welcome us. I'm sure I will be back in here again on my next vacation in Thailand❤
Had a 4 nights stay at Ao Nang home stay. It was great. Clean, pretty, cosy. It’s a 20min walk to the beach, easily doable. The host is super friendly and helpful. Wanted to relax for a few days and it was perfect, went to the beach to read a book, and went to a few islands nearby. I highly recommend this hotel!
"Hello Dan!" We where greeted a very warm welcome by the owner, Mr Chang. And that sums up our stay perfectly. Amidst all the mass tourism infected resorts and hotels, Ao Nang Home Stay really felt like staying at a home away from home. Located very conveniently in a very nice and quite community Soi of the main road, Ao Nang Beach is only a 20 minute walk or 5 minute motorbike ride away. The main road with all the bars and restaurants is only a 5 minute walk away, as are a Family Mart and a 7-11. Yet still you're staying in a quite part of town. We found that to be ideally. Mr Chang relly is a genuine, sincere and friendly person always happy to be of assistance. Whether it is telling what to do or what to see, phoning your pick up service for the ferry to ask if they are on their way or arranging a tour or laundry service: Mr Chang is always there for you. Friendly. Even humble at times. What a kind man! We had a double superior room, with a view on the Soi. It was very nice on our own porch. Just relaxing after a nice day or having a drink late at night. Mr Chang's dog and cats are always there to keep you company or you can watch them investigating their neighbourhood. Befriending strangers of demanding attention from neighbours. very cute. Ton Ma Yom Thai Food Restaurant, number two restaurant in April 2018, is located about 50 meters from Ao Nang Home Stay. Be sure to have a meal here (booking would be advised). The restaurant also does a breakfast from 8 am. If I ever come back to Ao Nang, then Ao Nang Homestay will be my preferred guest house!…
Love our host Mr. Chang. The rooms are well decorated, well provided with various amenities. Comfortable enough to stay all day doing nothing. We can even eat durians at the balcony. Great location to many facilities such as restaurants and Aonang Beach, all reachable on foot.
We stayed at Ao Nang Home Stay for three nights during our first trip to Thailand. The owner was very friendly and helpful offering lot of help for various arrangements such as booking tickets for boat tour and ferry to Ko Lanta. The room was good value for money and had everything you need. We went for breakfast in nearby restaurant which was directly next door. Location was quite good and 10 min / 100 BHT ride to Ao Nang Beach by Tuk-Tuk. Be aware that there is a rooster on the opposite house and it will wake you up every morning 5:03 AM. It’s definitely the only negative thing in this property and we found it quite disturbing. However everything else was great and it’s good option when staying in Ao Nang.
