Had an enjoyable stay here, was the most luxurious hotel I have stayed in so far in Thailand for this price 500-600b, the room is just hugeee, with a large bathroom and big balcony too to enjoy the sunset. Really enjoyed the architecture here, very grand Thai style everywhere and one thing most people overlook is the view from the 6th floor restaurant, no other hotel around can beat this place. You can see the sunset and sunrise and mostly the whole area and bay view from the gigantic rooftop. Great place to be if a tsunami ever hits, feels safe. The 3 tier pool sure lived up to its expectations, crystal clear waters with pool chairs to lie on, although throughout the day vegetation kept dropping into the top pool. Peaceful and hardly any guests, enjoyed speaking with the polite staff. After soaking in the pool, a warm soak in the bathtub which was clean and had hot water was great! There are some things that may trouble guests, mainly termites, broken furniture and cracks, old stained beddings, trash under the bed, saw a cockroach. It does put me off for a long stay, but for a short stay it can be overlooked for the low price I paid.

This hotel is absolutely stunning! Absolutely amazingly and big rooms (have only tried deluxe room with terrace). Lovely service in the restaurant and friendly reception.. The restaurant at 6th floor for both Breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner was amazing!! What an amazing view and so nice staff and chefs. I will absolutely recommend this hotel to everyone. Could use some renovation and more sunbeds, but still love it!

This place once used to be amazing I’m sure. It has so many possibilities but they have just let it get run down. Ceilings falling down, wallpaper peeling, ac not working, mold in showers & bath, stains on sheets, outdated tv with only 1 English station( Al Jazeera news), outdated safety equipment, no one speaks English, gym is moldy and most equipment broken, no spa like stated, no WiFi in room as stated, pool is clean but missing tiles and such, when house keeping “cleans” the room... they don’t(the rooms are extreme dirty and dusty, we found a pair of old underwear in our room...). I could go on. Just don’t stay here... they need some help and this could place could be amazing. There are so many other places closer to beaches, stay there. We will never be back here. They didn’t want to help with any of the situations.

I had visited 8 years before. Booked only so that I could get a shower and a nap for my disabled guest after a 7 am arrival in Krabi, TH from Honolulu, HI. Tried to get into room 2x in a row with card key. Went back and forth to the front desk and by the time I had someone finally come with me on the 3rd try, SHE couldn't get the door open. When she finally switched the card for another room, it was bare! Where did all the Thai furniture and beautiful cushions go? It looked stripped down and though we needed a shower and a nap, my disabled guest was quietly grossed out, so we hurried out to eat the buffet breakfast before it closed. It was not good. Loved it before - had stayed there for 4 days. I saw black mold covering the adjacent hotel wings, ruining the view of the Andaman sea. The coffee was good and the waitstaff was good as well. We ate some very tired looking food before returning to the plain, old, spooky barren room, to shower. Stay at the RED GINGER in Krabi , 5 STARS!

A bad hotel.. The crew didn’t speak English. The “ luxury “ room we got, smelled like poop, and there was a salamander in the bathroom, and the hotel staff just laughed... We got a new room, but with no swinging on the veranda and no rooftop and no lamps and table. The air conditioner didn’t work. The pool and sunset was very good. We were on 6ths floor, and the door to the fire escape was lucked, so we will be dead if there was a fire.. No camera or doorman in the hotel. Everything was dated an dirty. And no housekeeping service before we complain. We changed hotel afte 3 days.

Looks like it used to be fancy. But out of maintain now. Staffs are nice but unprofessional. They don't care about anything,no one speaks English, Stinky beds, piss smell blankets, Rusted broken sink, fallen dow. roof. The only thing made us stay here for half a month is the big pools and the view from balcony and roof top. View is really nice, but the music from the fake ao nang night market makes too much nosie sometime. This place need to change the whole management team. It was a good place. And when we told drivers and tour agents we stay here, they said this is a haunted. They said we will see ghosts, it's funny..Hope this is not the reason why the good managers are scared away.

Staying here for five days, honestly it is not what i expected from the pictures and reviews, front desk staff has no knowledge on how to communicate problems properly with us. Safety box in room was spoilt from day 1 of check in and now till day 3 is still spoilt even when informed them multiple times from day 1. what angers me more is the staff is so relaxed that she could laugh at my problems. i had many cash to carry around and am not comfortable leaving it with them. Now they just informed me the engineer is on holiday after i got very angry as i told them so many times nicely to fix the safety box and their respond was "ok". will never come back here again or recommend this to anyone of my friends.

Let me start this review by saying that this hotel would have been the envy of all others in Ao Nang once.Unfortunately it has been allowed to run down with only the barest of upkeep. With that being said it was still one of the most enjoyable stays that I have had at any hotel around the world. The staff were fantastic and looked after all of our needs. The pool is absolutely magnificent. This teamed up with a massive room and amazing balcony including a wooden swing made the stay fantastic. The buffet breakfast is a nice added bonus as well as good wi-fi.My wife and I stayed here for 12 nights so we got to experience most facets of this hotel. If you can overlook the faults of this hotel then you will be in for a wonderful time full of old world class and opulence.I can't wait to return again.

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst in krabi and got a free room upgrade. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony and swing. It is a little dated and could do with some maintenance. The gym was out of order, and there were a lot of repairs across the floors that needed doing e.g holes in the roof. Good location near local markets and the beach!
