I stayed here last year As of 3 weeks ago, this Hotel has been demolished to make way for new apartments There is an office on the main strip offering the apartments for sale, date for completion not confirmed as yet
Stayed here for four nights and it wasn't a nightmare but wasn't good either. It is very close to central Ao Nang so it is a really convenient location to start your boat trips to nearby beaches and islands or to go out for dinner at night. That's the best of it. First impression was the staff and it was not nice. Not very bad either but compared to 'Thai Standard' it wasn't good. Second, and most important, the room wasn't properly cleaned. This is for me a bottom line for an hotel. Towels were not clean either and one day weren't even ironed. TV never worked properly throughout our stay, regardless of our request to fix it. Breakfast was ok - compared to all the rest you can say it was good. Finally it is not an 'on the beach' hotel. Yes, beach is across the road but not the very best of it, so you do have to walk 5-10 minutes to get to the best parts. All in all avoid it. I came here regardless of other reviews and immediately regretted it!…
When we first arrived at the hotel everything seemed nice, but when we got to our rooms we started to notice a lot of faults and I have to say this is the worst hotel we have stayed at so far in our 2 week vacation in Thailand. First thing, the air conditioner is leaking water - it just drips constantly down on the floor making a pile of water in the hallway. They "fixed" it by putting towels on the floor and now it drips on them instead. It's chinese watertorture. Watch out for room #15. Then the white towels are everything but white, with visible stains. The same goes for the sofa which looks horrible and the pillows, blankets and ALL NICE fluff in the pictures presented by the owners is long since GONE. The door to the balcony slides open and it's easy for bugs to enter the room at night through the space in-between. The fridge is full of Minibar drinks which obviously isn't free and takes up all of the space. The sheets in the bed feels moist, there's a smell of mold and the wallsockets or the electricity is loose, I saw a tiny spider creep up into one of them. And now on to the pool. It's not completely filled since there's something wrong with it causing water to spill out of it no matter how much they fill it. The filter is therefore turned off and it's a jerm-hazard to bathe in it as of now. Some people don't know about this and use it anyway. They promised it would be fixed by tomorrow. The surrounding area of the hotel is a disgrace. I looked down the back of the two-story building and there's a small junkyard down there. At night you hear some kind of frog or duck back there along a tream of running water. The pool area has passed it's date by far, they have tried to paint the plastic furniture with a gruesome result. It lookes horrid and there's electric outlets without a lid on around the pool. I haven't tried the breakfast yet but I can't say I have much hope about it. If we hadn't been stupid enought to pay up front for four whole days we would've moved. My advice is to look for a better hotel.…
Good: Staff was friendly and helpful. Good location if you want to stay near the beach (which is not necessary in Ao Nang because the beach is not that good). Okay breakfast. Bad: First impression of the hotel was bad. Dirty and smelly water in the small garden-pools in between the flowers. The pool area looked nice, but I got a bad feeling about it so I did not try the pool. We orginally booked this hotel for 9 nights, but moved to another hotel after the first night. We had a family room. The room was dark, small and felt dirty. The toilet didn't work, but the hotell staff fixed it. At night, we could hear the neigbours talking and the neigbour kids made a lot of noise. So the room is not well isolated against noise. I will not recomend this hotel. It is overpriced, and there are a lot of other hotels to choose among in Ao Nang. Some of the pictures shown here that is taken by other guests are not Ao Nang Sea Front resort. They are from the hotell besides this!…
Run away!! Dont stay here. The photos on the website are NOT of his hotel. The rooms are small, smelly, humid and dirty. The pool has brown water. The staff is unfrendy.
The price for a room should be around 1000 bath we payed 3200 bath for a family unit. There was only a little bit of water in the pool and in the morning there was no water for showering . The internet diddent work and the staff cound not speak english.
We had booked the basic room, but when we got there, it wasn't anywhere near the main hotel. It was down a long path, after passing the heat-spewing laundry room where the staff was busy washing and ironing; turned down another alley and the room was through a door on the left. Walked in and was overwhelmed by a horrible air-freshener strategically placed to obviously cover up some horrendous odor. The room was spacious, with two beds, but not a single window. It felt completely dreary. I went back to the office and upgraded to a room with a porch across from the pool for an additional $15 per night. This was a superior room in comparison. It was neat and clean and no odor. We weren't planning to spend much time in the room other than to shower or sleep, so we didn't require anything fancy, and this definitely wasn't. (Moral of the story is: upgrade your room). Hotel staff was very friendly and responsive (especially when we needed more bottled water). The location is a little odd, since it is tucked back from the main street, but it served the purpose and was fairly central. It was nice to be able to walk across the street to the sea with its beautiful view, although it's not a beach you would want to lounge on. A pleasant walk to get to the outdoor restaurants, lots of shops, great roti cart nearby. An american style breakfast was included - choice of fried eggs and bacon, muesli and yogurt, "panne cakes" with mixed fruit (which arrives with a single pancake on a plate, but really delicious), toast, etc. The best bananas I've ever had and wonderfully fresh pineapple. I would stay there again.…
Stayed at Ao Nang Resort and Spa 1st April- 13th April 2010. Rooms are spacious, and have all that you need. We had a Beach/pool view great to watch the sun go down on the balcony at 6.30pm. Beach is a step across a small paved road/path. A nice stroll into the nightlife /shops and resterants. Breakfast were good, plenty of choice. Use the spa treatments if you fancy a treat!!! they were fabulous. Also had a massage near the pool are very good and half the price of the Hotel spa, Weather was hot around 30 in the day time had a couple of downpours. very humid at night, if we went again would perhaps go a little earlier in early March.
Its location is very good. It is easy to get to anywhere elses. Services was satisfaction. The room and atmosphere were slightly clean. Food's choices were not too many. Unfortunately, I was stolen some money which I forgot in the hotel's room.
Very nice place, very nice and clean rooms (family suite) and good service. Free Wi-Fi in reception. Definately staying there also next time we go to Ao Nang.
