A nice, clean resort with good location. Environment friendly. Great and friendly staff. I just visited the pool many times when staying in the near by hotel. Good, clean and nice size pool to swim in.
We spent a very noce week at Peace Laguna and we loved it. The staff was very friendly, expecially Natthita who is a lovely person. Great breakfast and swimming pool. The location is perfect, a short walk to the beach and the lively main street of Ao Nang.
Peace lagune is very peacefull in a paradise of nature and stillness around you. The houses are very comfortable. I booked for three days and finally I stayed for 12 days. The staff is so friendly and the buffet breakfast is wonderfull. They have more pools and they are very clean. So I will recommend you to stay here. It s a little paradise.
SCAM!! If we did not arrive so late the first night we would have walked in and right out of our room. Very dirty and disgusting. The vents are filled with mold and dust. The bathroom is filled with mold and tub has not been cleaned. We slept with masks on, and put clothing on the pillows. We checked out the next day. It was worth forfeiting our payment for the remaining 4 days to stay in a healthy environment. Right down the street we found a great hotel! We tried to get a refund. Management refused to even come out and speak to us, something I have never even heard of happening. Typically hotels try and accommodate their guests. They were "hiding" in the back room. The front desk told us the manager Michael is dishonest and will only refund if you write a review, but still probably would not. They said they cannot help but agreed the room was disgusting and understood why we did not want to stay there. WOW. So they are aware the accommodations are unhealthy- BIG sign not to book, because they have no incentive to clean up since they are non-refundable and the tourists keep coming. They seem to have a SCAM that if you book the standard rooms, they know they are disgusting and you will pay extra to move to the nicer suites... there was a long line at the front desk requesting upgrades because the standard rooms were gross. The breakfast buffet is not great- they serve instant coffee. I understand if you have that in the rooms, but if you are offering breakfast why not offer fresh coffee? Would never recommend.…
We loved this place. We’re not sure why there are some negative reviews? Krabi, the resort, does have lots of bars and restaurants. We loved this and it can be quite noisy in parts. However, Peace Laguna is only a few minutes away and is peaceful and relaxed. You wouldn’t think you were in the same town/resort. It had a tropical feel with lots of trees and plants. For us, the perfect balance of peace and if needed, a short walk to restaurants and bars. The staff are excellent, helpful and on one early morning trip out, we had asked for a packed breakfast, which they did. Breakfast; this was great, lots of choice including the usual continental choices, toast, Jam etc, rice and Thai food. Eggs whichever way you wanted them cooked. While it had the same choice everyday, the choice of rice it Thai food changed, which was great. Not every day you can put pineapple rice, chicken and cashews, salami, cheese and a croissant on your plate! There are areas which could do with a lick of paint but this in no way spoiled our stay. Our superior room was clean, had the largest bed we’d ever seen and a wonderful outside shower. Like most of Thailand we suspect, money is now returning and you could see this in the amount of staff, gardens being maintained. Covid had hit them hard and we could tell it was becoming busier, with the knock on effect of more money being spent on upkeep etc. we’d absolutely go again, peaceful while also giving access to bars and restaurants. You can take a variety of long tail boats to other islands and beaches. Krabi beach was only a 10 minute walk away. Thank you Peace Laguna. You were fantastic ❤️…
All employees at Peace Laguna Resort are filled with kindness and warmth towards all guests and all guests are «seen» and allways treated kindly and with respect. The unity and friendliness between all employees and manager Anne is also something that is easy to see and fantastic to experience and be a part of. Very good breakfast and dinner in a calm and heart-warming environment close to the main pool, beautiful reception area almost out in the nature and a beautiful lagoon in the middle. Tree nice swimmingpools are awailable. Bath towels are free to borrow every day. The rooms are nice and clean with cleaning seven days a week by very fieldly employees. We left Peace Laguna Resort after our best vacation ever and with a bigger and warmer heart than when we arrived. We will definitely return to Peace Laguna Resort next January and hopefylly be able to stay for more weeks than this time😊❤️…
We had a few issues with our private bungalow on first arriving, however Annie front of house manager sorted these out instantly. This hotel maybe a bit dated, but do not let that stop you from staying here. The gardens are absolutely stunning, and totally make up for the rooms being a bit dated. Bed was firm but comfy. Bungalow is a lovely big size, plenty of space. Breakfast was really tasty, they have English and Thai choices, although you do have to wait sometimes for items to be replenished. Every member of staff are extremely polite and friendly, always smiling especially Posh. Your very close to the strip, and like others have said you do not hear any noise. Walking distance to the beach and boat excursions. We are very well travelled and I have to say I have never stayed anywhere, where the gardens and lake are as beautiful and serine as at Peace Laguna. I would definitely recommend, should we ever come back to Ao Nang we will not hesitate to book in with Peace Laguna.…
The public areas of the hotel were good but the service and rooms were poor. Unusually for Thailand there was no welcome drink on arrival and that set the tone for the stay. We were taken to the room by a staff member and he had been given the wrong key, he borrowed a master key from the cleaning staff and let us into the room and we found the room was a double (we had booked twin beds 10 months ago), the safe didn't work. He rang reception but they said they didn't have a twin room (were all the twin rooms booked more than 10 months ago or were the staff incmpetent/not bother to check what had been booked?). He then went off and left us in the room for 5 mins to get the proper key and batteries for the safe. After 45 mins of being stuck in the room waiting for him to come back I rang reception and was told he was on his way, it was more than 30 mins later before he arrived. He had a key that worked and a new safe (not just batteries for the existing one). Someone clearly new that the ssafe was broken and didn't just have flat batteries, why didn't they change it if they knew it was faulty? We then went down to the pool for a swim and there were no pool towels there, we asked for some and got a shrug and "They are all in the wash". I had to demand a couple of white room towels as he was totally uninterested in finding a solution. This is the only place in Thailand we have stayed at where people feel the need to put towels on sunbeds before breakfast. The staff attitude was variable, some were as friendly as you would expect in Thailand others ignored you as you walked around (no greeting from hotel staff is very unlike Thailand). On check out they asked us to wait while they checked the room, which does happen in so,me hotels but in this hotel they asked us to sit down and wait and then didn't bother to come and tell us that the room had been checked, I had to go back up to the desk and ask what was going on and what the delay was. On the positive side, breakfast was good. This could be a good hotel but it is clearly let down by poor management leading to variable staff performance and poor maintenance.…
Overall a great hotel which has nice “jungle” surroundings. Cleaning and service was fine. We stayed in the cabins which is worth the upgrade. There weren’t enough Sun beds all the times which is a down side and main pool weren’t clear the last 4 days!!!
We liked our stay in the Peace Laguna Resort very much. We felt like being in the middle of the Thai jungle boasting of lush vegetation – palm trees, birds singing every morning and a lot of greenery all around. The hotel is only about 100 metres from the high street but in spite of that it is very quiet and you really feel far from the madding crowd. The viewing experience is dominated by the neighbouring Ao Nang mountain which creates a breath-taking atmosphere especially in the late afternoon when it is lit by the setting sun. The room was spacious and the balcony offered good relaxation after a day full of activities on the beach and on trips. Each morning started with excellent breakfast offering anything to keep you going for almost the whole day. The staff were very polite and friendly, always having a smile on their faces. Our great thanks belong to the manageress of the hotel (unfortunately we don´t know her name) who was very helpful and always came up with a solution to any problem we might have. We strongly recommend the hotel!!!…
