Without a doubt the best hostel Thailand has to offer. The staff is incredible helpful and kind. Chris and Freddie are great at involving everyone, so you’ll never feel left out. Don't trust this hostel with your money!! I wish i hadn't left the hostel before to spend the night there so I'd have been able to leave a review on the website i booked it with!! I don't often leave reviews but I'm super upset and disappointed about the behaviour of at least one of the receptionist. At first by reading the reviews apparently the staff was great but the way she greeted me when i arrived at 12pm wasn't really nice and quite condescending. Finally at almost 2pm after waiting for 2 hours I gave her a Bill of 500thb and since cost of the night was 197 i should have receive 303thb back but she only gave me 3 baht, lol. At first i didn't even think about it but a couple of minutes laters i realised checking my pockets what had just happened and i asked for the 300 bahts missing. As she PERFECTLY knew what was going on and was probably just hoping to make an extra quick 300b as she probably often does she gave me my change back right away but i wasn't going to let it go. Maybe most bacpackers would assume it's just an honest mistake but com'on, it's a ROUND NUMBER and she gave me part of the change, 3baht!! haha, not like she didn't know that or just forgot to give me the 300 baht extra!! And even if it was an honest mistake which there is a 90% chance it isn't then why would somebody that unqualified work at the reception dealing with money? So again, she shouldn't be working there!! She most probably dishonest or at the very least can't add 2 + 3 together. She said her name is "Tai" if i heard right, no idea if i did. Small, pretty and skinny but being pretty doesn't give you the right to swindle people and cheat them of their cash!! totally unacceptable. Beside, under every semi negative comment on another booking website there's a staff member replying to the negative comment in a super bitter and mean way, what are those people?! Don't go there, just skip it and avoid the trouble!! Too far from the beach anyway at literally 2km!! Last thing, when i asked to see the manager, the other Thai girl working there behind the reception was just having her back as if it didn't matter and nothing had happen. Great for the staff but not so much for the actual guests that can be cheated over and over by unscrupulous staff members. And btw, it's not the first time i get short changed in Ao Nang beach even if it normally happens for smaller amounts at 7/11 or at restaurants so it's a common thing there...…

You must have hab a really bad time and bad impressions of Thailand! First of all, yes, our check in time is 2pm. You can see in your booking confirmation and on the booking websites as well. As our check out time is 12 we need time to clean all beds, toilets and showers before checking in new guests. Cleanliness is very important for us! Calling someone a thief just because she gave you wrong change by a mistake is a outrageous insinuation. At this time 6 different persons and Groups wanted to check in and others orderd food. So she were very busy behind the desk. As soon as she realised giving you wrong change she said 1000 times sorry. I know this Girl since 8 years, never anyone complained about her and she is everything, a angel, good friend, helpful, but not a THIEF. I don't know what happend to you before in Thailand, but that is not our fault and with that Atitude you not go forward in life. There is a thing called Karma. I hope you felt better after writing this down, we could get it deleted, but I prefer showing this answer! Best Regards

Me and my brother booked the place for 3 nights, but the practicality, hospitality and the price ratio had us prolong our visit for 3 more days! The staff is really nice (including the boss), and people visiting this place have been intresting and fun company to talk and hang out with, or to go have a night out (same goes for the entire staff). Hard to top this if youre looking for a hostel.

Stayed in Kbunk for what was originally supposed to be 2 days, ended up staying staying for 5. The place is very chilled, good prices on drinks and a huge shout Mickey who was working there who really made it for us, gave us all the advice about the surrounding area and things to do (also got us a deal on a boat trip), super friendly and approachable and also a bloody good laugh! Really made us feel welcomed. Would definitely go again, 10/10

Staff very friendly, they help us in the morning with our luggage and easy to check-in! Great location near the beach and markets. Chill vibes and quite, our room was nice and also shower facilities! Very recommendable =)

Clean, comfy beds. Good price. Great location, 15 minute walk from the beach. Mikey and Katie are great. Good music played in the evenings, as well as card games, beer pong et cetera. Well priced drinks.

Micky and me had a really great time here, we even extended for two nights. It’s easy to meet new people, the staff is really nice and willing to help you at any time. Clean beds, toilets and showers. It even has a Netflix, ps4 and Xbox room to chill out during the rain. The breakfast is good and free water

Awesome hostel, the bar/reception staff are super chill and very relaxed chilled out atmosphere, can definitely recommend...the kayaking tour us also awesome, definitely worth the price...staff are really good for pointing you in direction of good deals in town

Me and a group of friends stayed here for 5 nights, very accommodating with a good location just being a short walk from the beach, the manager Micky was really helpful from the get go and helped us booking an island tour that was exceptional, was able to extend a few nights very easily as well so overall it was a chill and easy experience, if i’m ever back around here again I will stay again, thanks again Micky
