We stayed at Nant Newydd during the summer holidays for a will with the kids. The owners were extremely helpful throughout, even lending us some jump leads when our car battery went flat! The kids used the on site swimming pool every day and enjoyed the tennis court and parks throughout. The whole site was kept very clean and at the weekend the campsite got busy and was noisy but calmed down by 11pm. The site is in a good location for attractions and getting supplies from Llangefni which is just a short drive away. Would definately recommend and will come back again!

Our family & 2 other families stayed for 10nights in our tourers on the top field on very uneven pitches which were also extremely hard to peg our awnings due to the amount of rocks in the ground. Theres 5 showers for the whole of the site (3 women 2 men) all of which were cold on every use and the 3 womens showers went off as soon as you released the push button. There were also permanently lugs of hair blocked the drains in the womens so they didnt seem to get cleaned often. The website says modern & heated and they were neither. The mens dont have anywhere to pur your belongings except in the cubicole on the floor where everything gets soaked. Theres a couple of like portaloo type toilets in the camping field next to the fresh water and chemical point/bins however the main toilets, showers & washing up area is in the middle of the statics & seasonal pitches which doesnt make sense as its the people on the camping field who need these facilities. There were no seat for the zipline, you needed a key to use the tennis courts which once receptions shut you wont be able to get the key. However the other two play areas were okay. The bike tracks overgrown though. The arcades/games room also needs alot of updating. The map and website show disabled amenties and a launderette both of which have been knocked down and replaced with statics however the owners said they are building new facilities they just need a plumber. (Annoying when youre there for so long and expecting to use a launderette, we had to use the ones on a nearby road which cost £15 for one wash & dry). The wifi was none existent if you plan on using it which is understandable when youre so far away from everything like the top field is. The outdoor heated pool wasn’t very heated, the first time we booked a slot but no one came to check when our slot had finished so we went a couple of more times without booking as it were a last minute decision and the pool never had more than 20 people in everytime we visited (max is 30) and there were never anyone to man the amount of people in and out but on our last day we had booked a slot as it were a nice day and thought itd get busy, bang on our finish time the young lad came and kicked just us out of the pool (theres 10 in our party) however the pool had 7 people in when we got out but he said he had another 30 waiting. We went and showered and 15minutes later checked the pool and there were still the same people in as when we got out! We got charged £4 per night for an extra car as my husbands work plans changed last minute however i think it is bit steep considering the time we were there (10 nights) and the amount it has cost us already per night of £48 this is due to having an awning up £6 per night and two dogs. Which i am happy to pay for but an extra £40 for a car that fit on our pitch without being in the way to anyone else is a joke. The number plate recognition barrer doesnt work 90% of the time and you end up sat waiting for a good 5/10minutes for the owner to let you in when they are sat in reception and can clearly see you through the window and via the CCTV in reception. We also had a power cut one night which were the whole camping field not just us i rung the owner who said he lived an hour away so we would have to wait. 1.5hours later it were back on however the next day they came round to our pitch and said we had overblown it but all of us were sat in one caravan with one tv on so not sure why he thought it was us. I also thought that if you tripped the electric it would just trip your electric box not the full sites. Its also a good job I have a long hook up as my plug in point was nearly 20metres away. I didnt get a very welcoming feeling from the owners and you could feel they were new to this which after reading reviews on google after our return it turns out they are. I wouldnt stay again just as I didn’t like the vibe from the owners for the whole of our stay as did the other people in my party. The site however waswell maintained but it needs more of a family feeling to it when its meant to be a big family site rather than it just being a business. And obviously some of the above issues need looking at.

What an amazing weekend we had! From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by friendly staff, given a map for the park and escorted by one of their vehicles to our pitch. Toilet block within the same field, also waste disposal and water just a stones throw away. Well maintained park with excellent facilities, including two parks, outdoor heated pool with slide and shallow area for toddlers. Zipwire, football pitch, tennis and basketball courts. They also have a small arcade/games room which our young boys loved. Whilst we were there they had an external company provide 3 rides, huge inflatable bouncy castle, waltzers and trampolines as well as a burger van serving a large variety of goodies. Our dog enjoyed her stay just as much with dog walks available, all dogs are kept on leads. Would highly recommend!

I’m not one to usually write reviews like these, but having seen the reviews left for Nant Newydd Caravan Park, I believe that they are a poor representation of the site! I came here with my boyfriend last month and had an excellent stay, we were welcomed by lovely staff and found the facilities extremely clean and the site adhered to the COVID-19 regulations. We loved the dog walk routes too! I would highly recommend this caravan site to everyone.
