I scored this property as an "excellent", but you have to understand that it is not (nor promises to be) a 5 star, all inclusive resort. We stayed here for only one night as we came to La Paz for a week of sailing around the area. The Hotel Marina seemed like the logical place to stay, since it is...

Doors to balcony could not open or shut properly. Mattress was old and covered in plastic which made for an uncomfortable sleep along with the noise from the bar. Pool looked dirty and worse was the food at the restaurant. Breakfast buffet was disgusting. Staff in lobby was helpful, staff at restaurant WAS NOT. Only stayed one night thank goodness...

Stayed on top floor, beautiful view of the marina & pool. The worst complaint I had is the VERY loud music that comes from a building right next door that apparently is rented out to locals for functions - one night the music started at 10:20pm- went till 3 am.Just be aware the highway noise too, plus the room doors...

Check in was good, pricey for the neighborhood, good view of the ocean, nice boardwalk, walking distance to the Malecon kind of, buffet was good, waiter was snooty and his tip reflected that, I don't tip because I have to I tip for service above and beyond. Some tip for everyday service and poor service, think about that before you...

We stayed here with another couple because they men were going fishing out of the marina . They had a great trip catching fish even though it was early in the season. The highlight of the trip was the last evening, when the cook prepared the fish they had kept. It was so delicious - cooked about 6 different ways....

We stayed one night at the Hotel Marina to enjoy some AC in the growing summer heat before leaving town. However, we are very familiar with the Hotel grounds, the pools, staff, and general ambience as we have come and gone from the Marina Palmira for 3 years. The poolside setting and restaurant frequently host local catered parties for children...

My husband and I came in on a Thursday and left on Monday. We were on the 5th floor where the view was really spectacular. The problem was that the walkway was in front of the only window so we had to keep the blinds closed for privacy. The room was very basic and the wind would blow through the...

The people who work here are the main strength of this place. They found us a room when our outfitter had forgotten to book one, made it convenient to move our luggage, and looked the other way when our kids fed their breakfast toast to the fish. The rooms were superficially nice, but function was puzzlingly inconsistent. For example, there...

The rooms could have been a bit cleaner, but the staff gets a 5 star rating from me. Jorge works long hours and is beyond helpful for whatever it is you need. The food in the restaurant is pretty good, however, I think they should change up the breakfast buffet a little each day so it's not the exact same...

This hotel is conveniently located next to Marina Palmira, so it's the perfect place to stay if we are having work done on our boat (and we can't stay on it), and when friends come to visit us in La Paz. As noted by others, the rooms are basic, but they are kept very clean and the views can be...
