Just ret'd from 4 nites there. If you don't mind paint coming off the ceiling, cracked walls, minimal housekeeping, mismatched furniture, a doorlock that barely worked...then this might be the place for you. Its 'tired' and the website photos are somewhat deceiving. We found it adequate but would not return unless there were no other options. Overpriced at $79/nite..Food in...

We took advantage of the always-running promotion from San Diego: a week at La Pinta, PLUS airfare (nonstop on Aeromexico) for $500 per person. Plus free breakfasts and margaritas. The rooms are average, a bit down at heels, but OK. The decor does have some charm. Best thing is the location: right on the beach--great view, lots of bird life....

My wife & I just returned from a three week free lance tour of BSC. I have to say I've always loved Loreteo but this trip we opted to stay at La Pinta and was extremely disappointed. We had a ground floor room which which had not been updated for at least 20 years. The room was full of mosquitos,...

I stayed at La Pinta for 4 days in July. The staff is very friendly and helpful nad they recomended many great thiungs in town. The pool was hot but still refreshing. The best part was that most of the pangas departed from the beach behind La Pinta so we did not need to lug our gear across town. I...

15 August thru 22 August 2004. If you're looking for the Ritz and white sandy beaches this is not it. The time of year we were there was hot and very humid. Having an air conditioned room was a relief. The room is nice and adequate for a short stay but we were there for seven days. There is a...

We were there 10 days during the September '03 hurricane. The staff (all of them, from the manager through the gardners) were very friendly, helpful, compassionate and always cheerful. The cook even fixed me a hot amonia foot bath after I stepped on a sting ray. the food was excellent, they fixed whatever we wanted. The manager checked with us...

Rtght on the beach, great for the fishermen as the boats arrive and take off from the front of the hotel. Wonderful bar right in the front with the pool on the other side, terrific breakfasts, drinks, and other food. Would go again in a minute. Don"t miss El Nido for steaks or Mamapacha for great dinner....
