We found the Hotel overall very nice. The rooms were a bit dated, at least the one we were in. The cleaning staff did a good job. However, the rest of the hotel was very nice, clean and seemingly well maintained. The buffet changed themes...More
Don't book this property. I am still here now and would prefer to not be here. Food handling practices I've seen have me shakingy head. Today I saw the servers collect used disposable plastic cups from the lobby area and wash them reuse them.

The hotel decor is lacklustre compared to hotels in Riviera Maya of similar star count (4+). The setting though is beautiful - it is built as villages on several cliffs with scenic paths to the lobby and beach area. We stayed in area “Puebla...More
We came here middle of April 2018. The weather was amazing. Hot hot hot. We love hiking and this resort has no shortage of paths and stairs as it’s very big. So if you don’t like walking this may not be the place for you....More

As far as I know Secrets is in a higher class of resort with a different price tag (At the end you get what you pay). Still you won't be disappointed be at Las Brisas very nice resort with nice gardens and architecture. I stayed there and enjoyed.my room was nice and had a balcony with ocean view. As far as I remember there was sun on the beach most of the day. One thing to consider instead of one whole big building Las Brisas is built with several room buildings scattered throughout the hill and the front desk downhill. They have a free shuttle service that will take you from front desk to your room and back (golf cars) but you have to call and wait or stand in line. If as me you have little patience prepare your self to do A LOT of hiking uphill.
