We have travelled all over Mexico and usually stay at a Barcelo, Dreams or other 5 star resort. This place by far had the most hospitable staff we have ever encountered. Everyone so pleasant. As stated in other reviews, hotel running about 30%, and yes there is not much to do in the evening except take in the show, but...

We stayed Dec 13 - 22nd at this hotel and it was perfect to start but then got full with Christmas rush and honestly they didn't increase the staff. At full capacity some adult pools get changed to all age so we lost one pool but there was still 2 adult only so that was great. Buffet gets tiring but...

We stayed at Karmina Palace Dec 6-13. Had never been to Manzanillo before and wanted to give it a try. Though we found there wasn't much to do off of the resort, we were there with the intention of lounging by the pool. The hotel was only at about 30% capacity so there were no issues with getting a chair...

The Karmina Palace is a great hotel, impeccable grounds, the friendliest staff, such a variety at the buffets and drinks always available. Evening entertainment is very good for Mexico, yes, the beds are hard but you know that before you go, however, the rooms require a little maintenance, eg, we had to have the screen doors oiled [they wouldn't move],...

Just returned from a week at the Karima Palace and I’m sad to say we will not be back. The grounds, pools and people we met were all fabulous; however there are a number of things that will keep us from returning. First, the bed was just a hard as the tile floors and pillows were not much better -...

This resort is not exactly what I would consider 4.5 stars. But each time I reminded myself that I spent very little to go to the Karmina Palace, my stay seemed just fine. Did not like... The service is not the greatest at the restaurants. We had to continuously wave down the staff to get coffee refills during breakfast, or...

We just got back last night from the Barcelo Karmina Palace in Manzanillo and we're missing the sun and the resort already!!! Four of us (2 adults, 2 kids age 7 & 4) travelled with Air Transat from Nov 22-30 (yes, that is eight days because we got "stranded" due to mechanical issues with the plane in Vancouver on the...

I had a completely difference diving experience than the reviewer below. I lived in South Florida for 35 and have been a certified PADI diver for 33 years. We spent Thanksgiving at the Karmina and while there went on a two tank dive with my nephew. Even though both of us are certified divers, the Dive Master, whose name is Geronimo,...

This hotel has mostly everything a well travelled vacationer like myself enjoys, great facilities with wonderful ambiance. And unfortunately, the whole experience had to be diminished by the lack of service, professionalism and attention my family received at the hotels water sports concession. As a diver I know the ins and outs of the sport and found the quality of...

About Manzanillo: A busy and beautiful city of 100,000. Very high employment, no pushy vendors, no arrogant Europeans. Very safe & very friendly. It is only 3 hours to Gaudalahara, a city of 8,000,000 - so this place is a popular weekend "get-away" spot for Mexicans as well. Lots to seen & do: release sea turtles at the sanctuary, visit...
