beautiful pools, very clean, out of the congestion of other beach areas, yet with a shuttle that takes you to the action. Service is 5 star! ....We've traveled the world and staff here and the people of Mazatlan were extremely friendly and helpful. Also front desk help me extend our stay here rather than transfer to another El Cid, it...

We thoroughly enjoy staying at the El Cid. Of particular note is the cleanliness of the resort. In particular, our cleaning lady was Olivia. She does an exceptional job of keeping our room clean. She also has a sweet personality so you never feel uncomfortable, just ask her for something and she very happily responds to your request.

We loved the location, staff & feel of El Cid Marina. The staff was very friendly & accomidating, the grounds & room was impeccably clean & they were always looking to assist you in any way. We had excellent service from Roger at the front desk, Fidel (manager of the pool area) at the big marina pool, Eric (waiter) at...

Fabulous pools! Wonderful staff. I stayed in a two bedroom condo. One room was a lock off studio with two queen beds, double bathroom sinks, the toilet and shower are separate. A couch coffee table and television. No bath tub. The other room had a queen bed, two separate bathroom sink areas and again, the shower and toilet area are...

At check-in appetizers and a drink of my choice was provided. I was assigned a timeshare exchange unit in the furthest building, closest to the beach. It was delightful to walk along the marina and see the various boats at dock. Food service was excellent and drinks were available poolside. Unfortunately. the bartender could not provide a Blackberry Mojito or...

It was perfect in every way. Wonderful staff, our one BR suite more than met our expectations. And the food was as good if not better than the highly promoted places in town. And the food selections and prices were so much better than most all inclusive plans. We were on the European Plan but ended eating most of dinners...

The docks and property were very well maintained. The pool and beach club were great. Heard some complaints about the shrug in the cove but we did not experience it. Entrance is narrow and they have to dreg constantly so you need to check when entering. I would return again, staff and help was great.

Our room was a one bedroom in building #5 (furthest away from lobby) and it was perfect for our vacation. The pool with the grotto was just outside our window and it could get noisy. We travel with a white noise machine so it never bothered us when sleeping in. Adeline was our housekeeper and she was truly a gift....

We have stayed at two El Cid resorts and have found them to be very nice with helpful staff. Our family does not drink alcohol, so we avoid the mandatory all-inclusive resorts. The food costs at the resort are quite reasonable, so it is nice that we can eat at the resort when we want to and also try the...

“The sofa sleeper is extremely firm and very uncomfortable for adult family members. We were "upgraded" from a 1 bedroom at ElCid El Moro Beach to "an equivalent 1 bedroom" unit at El Cid Marina Beach hotel. Although the Marina Beach hotel is very nice, the rooms are not equivalent. The 1 bedroom unit at El Moro Beach has two double beds that are much better for adults as well as 2 full bathrooms. The Marina Beach 1 bedroom had a king size bed and only 1 bathroom. The 1 bedroom unit at El Moro Beach that we had originally booked would have worked out much better for 4 adults than the 1 bedroom unit at Marina Beach. Although the representative assured us that the rooms were equivalent at the resorts, be aware that they are very different. Marina Beach would be fine with small children, but not adults unless you prefer privacy over bed comfort. We did have a lot of little mites crawling around the room and on the kitchen table, but this may be normal for the area.”

“Rooms nearer to 332 - 342 etc are quieter as they minimize traffic noise by being being the old Faro resort. Nearer to the lobby can be a bit noisy at times but the resort is always planing trees to minimize this going forward.”
