A no frills, very basic hotel. Great location, easy walking distance to the malecon and lots of shopping, restaurants, etc. I had to change rooms twice due to non-working air conditioning. Very spotty internet service; I usually could not connect from my room, I needed to go out into the hallway. Hotel was clean, however quite shabby. I was not...

Hello I booked a room for 4 nights at hotel encino starting 14/11 I had to leave ROOM 317 on 15/11 morning for the following reasons : 1) impossible to sleep because of very old and noisy air conditioning and small hole ( not really a window) on a corridor so very warm at that season 2) works with drill...

This hotel was great for what we paid. Cold A/C, room cleaned daily. No frills. We didn't use the pool or partake in the rooftop bar or morning coffee in the lobby. Staff was friendly and attentive when we needed assistance. We generally like a condo to make morning coffee and breakfast, some dinners but because of the savings in...

Exceeded what I thought we would get for $30 a night. Pool upstairs is good for a quick cool off in the evening. Staff was meh. Trying to get drinks in the bar was kind of slow. That being said. Location is amazing. Cobblestone streets, over looking the two rivers. Looked down on iguanas from the roof daily. Hundreds of...

Book in advance for the best rates. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Pool on the roof and restaurant. Short 10 min walk to beach and malecon. Hotel staff helpful and personable. Traditional Mexican style hotel. We have stayed several times.

Clean, basic accommodations perfectly located between Centro and the Romantic Zone. I have never had a complaint with this hotel. Loved the new pillows! Recommend checking out the restaurant on the top floor. Good food and great prices.

I prefer boutique hotels but was not able to find an affordable one during high season so I opted for a typical tourist place, Hotel Encino, based on its excellent location. Unfortunately, most low-end tourists in Mexico do not respect furniture, towels, linen, etc. Despite the terrific hotel staff and their hard work, it is hard to educate others to...

Even though I've walked by this hotel for 25 years, I've never stayed there. It came up when I was booking my latest trip (June 10-16) with a good price, so I decided to take a chance. Came to Vallarta with three newbies and one second-timer. I usually stay at Posada de Roger, and my February trip this year included...

I will definitely stay here again. A nice clean room with a good firm bed. Had a nice little balcony overlooking the quiet side street below. The bathroom is clean and smells of bleach and fabuloso (a common Mexican cleaner). Coffee for guests is offered in the morning downstairs near check-in. No shower curtain or partition separating the shower area...
