Located in the heart of old Pto. Vallarta, this hotel is quaint but very dark if your room is on the first floor facing the courtyard. The hot and humid weather forced us to seek out the air-conditioning of our room which was adequate for sleeping but small for relaxing. Probably should have booked a room on the upper floors... This hotel is right in the middle of what they call the Romantic Zone in the old town. 4 Stories high. No elevator but stairs easy to handle. Service is very good and they try accomodate any changes to your lliking. We will definitly stay there again. They are adjoined to Freddy's Tucan where they line up for breakfast. Nice... More

This is a great hotel if you are looking for an inexpensive stay in PV. It is right in the center of old town, near the beach and restaurants. The rooms are basic, but very clean. The only things I missed were a room safe and a fridge. ( I realized later that I could have rented one for $5... More

This hotel is very helpful. The internet is not the best it comes and goes. they have a swimming pool but why use it when you can go down to the beach which is like 2 blocks away. Amazing restaurants close by also. If you don't like your room you can switch rooms if they have some available. at night... More

Very clean. Friendly staff. Close to the beach. Lots of flowers around the courtyard and pool. Good air conditioning. Really, my only complaint was not having safes available in the rooms. Another small complaint, for my tastes, this hotel is in an area that's a bit too touristy. (Not the hotel's fault per se, but if you want authentic Mexican... More

We've stayed at many different hotels in Puerto Vallarta over the years, always favoring the Zona Romantica. It had been a few years since we stayed at Posada de Roger, but circumstances at a shared place in Centro necessitated a last-minute hotel search and we found ourselves here. They were full for the first two nights we needed but were... More

Spent 2 nights there earlier this month while waiting to get into condo. Hotel was very clean. Somewhat shabby. Bed not very comfortable. It was also the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. There was commotion all night both nights. Then, just when it quieted down, roosters started crowing. May have been the parrot in the atrium that I... More

We have stayed at the Roger probably 4 times in the past 5 years - always a perfect spot. The location is central to the beach (2 blocks away), the bus (one block), the malecon (2 blocks)...so many amazing restaurants and shops in that area of Old Town. The staff at the hotel are always very professional and personable. We... More

A great Mexican hotel experience. Check-in was smooth and english is spoken. Rooms are small and basic and clean. Steps are a little treacherous and irregular. We had hot water and cold air conditioning. It is next door to a great breakfast place. Lock boxes are available at no charge near the front desk. Free wifi always worked. We would... More
