If you are used to 5 star hotels, this place will not be for you. If you want to experience a local hotel with great staff and a fun vibrant environment (i.e. noisy from guests coming back late, hard bed, brightly colored small rooms, old fashioned bathroom), this place is perfect! Unfortunately we could only stay one night but it... More

I went with this hotel because of its great reviews on tripadvisor. I was very disappointed when I opened the door to the room. The room was clean but the bed is very hard, the tile is cracked but the worst thing of all are the bathrooms. No wonder why there are no pictures of their restrooms on their website.... More

The hotel is in a great location. Staff are very friendly and accomadating. Rooms are very clean and beautifully decorated. Having WiFi throughout hotel is a great thing to have and it works well. My only complaint would be the doors into the rooms are old and no longer fit properly. When you exit your room, you have to pull... More

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Catedral Vallarta. This was my first visit to Mexico and I really wanted to experience the culture and the people. The location is downtown and close to everything. The staff is superb! Top notch! They were helpful, accommodating, and most of all friendly. I felt like part of their family. The only thing... I work for The hotel industry myself and i can only praise what they have done with this hotel!! What a tasteful way to renovate a hotel with a low budget! It looks great!, very mexican and extremely clean, everything is perfect, until you get to the bathroom, it is small, old and the sink and mirror are inside the... More

Hotel de Catedral proved to be a welcoming haven from a busy albeit fun and sun filled week long holiday in Puerta Vallerta. Excellent service doesn't happen by accident and accommodating foreign guests with different cultural expectations of what a hotel should be, can't be easy. But it is a business after all, and the responsibility starts at the top.... More

Listen, we stayed here for one night during a quick business trip. So, we were not looking for a resort hotel. This was very reasonable in price. We read good reviews. Upon checking in, we were greeted by a very friendly person. The common area was clean and somewhat charming. That was where the positives ended. Our room faced an... More
