FUN folks who know the city and can point you in the right direction! Real Mexican breakfast if you like, not so real if you don't. Very friendly neighborhood in the old more real part of Puerto. Like Puerto use to be!

We found them on Wimdu as a $55 a nite place with a great picture. I contacted the host and he seemed like he was going to work hard to make it work for us. After a night and morning of chat we told him we would take it and paid online through Wimdu. We got there and the cab...

Dear Reader, I do not know where to beginning to answer this review. I am truly lost for words. I guest what really surprise me was that Mr. Tom M. is the General Manager of a large Hotel…250 plus rooms. To be fair to Mr. Tom M. I will just let you read the email that he sent me in...

This was a horrific experience. After arriving at 3 pm I was told I would be charged a $25 late fee. At 3 pm! After refusing this the manager immediately became verbally abusive and swearing at me in Spanish. At this point I just left the property and he followed me out into the street yelling at me! How completely...

This place quite simply made our vacation. Gerard and Jim were truly genuine, generous, and interesting people. They often went well beyond what I asked of them, seeming happy to help in any way possible, and often did things for me without me asking them to. Staying here is a real cultural travel experience. The house, the location and the...

The main office is a steep climb from the road, and you have to go past a huge pile of garbage. Then if you book into a 2-bedroom suite, it is another 200 steps up the hill. You'd have to be a mountain goat! You are told none of this by their booking company which has never seen the property....

I think we were at the main house. There was no signage, we and the taxi driver were asking anyone where to find it. A taxi will only get you so close, there will still be about three flights of stairs to climb to get there. Very nice comfy bed in a small room, with a shared bathroom. There is...

JR's Three Amigos Guest House was a fun, if slightly crazy way to end my stay of 2 years in Mexico. JR is very eclectic, entertaining and generous...a great host. Nothing was too much trouble. Any 'trouble' came from what seemed to me to be a certain amount of disorganization and doing too much all at the same time. The...

The 3 Amigos Guesthouse was our first night in Puerto Vallarta. It's not for the fain-hearted! Firstly, it's very hard to find, our taxi driver was asking the locals, lol. Also, it is not one place but many. the guesthouse has several apartments roughly grouped near the top of the hills near a radio tower. Many steps are involved, some...

It's sad that most people that review only do so when they are angry or have a bad experience. This would be my third time staying at the three amigos with JR and Jimi. This time three friends came with me and we enjoyed almost two weeks over New Years and into January. We stayed right across from the main...
