Just back from a great week at Casa Iguana. We found this small hotel to be a lovely oasis from the busy Puerto Vallarta area. We found the rooms to be very clean and comfortable. The kitchens are small but had everything you might need to make simple meals. We ate everyday at the restaurant and were very happy with the...

The rooms were clean and comfy with a kitchenette that was functional (little dated). The breakfast buffet was great and staff were so helpful, all the time. Loved the little verandas outside the rooms where we met so many nice travelers. Was a very restful time without dealing with hordes of people. Perfect size hotel.

We had high expectations based on the reviews but we found Casa Iguana Mismaloya disappointing. It's a convenient location with lots of parking and the breakfast is actually really good, BUT, the rooms are old and not well maintained. Our bathroom door didn't close, we had to ask for towels, the security chain lock was missing a piece, and the...

If you are looking for a 'real' Mexican experience, this is the place. This is not a resort-type hotel, but it is clean, comfortable, safe, great staff, good food, cold beer, refreshing pool, about .25 miles from the beach where you should Stand Up Paddle with Alberto at Paddle Zone and visit Juan's Place for lunch/dinner.

We recently returned from a 2 week stay. The Casa Iguana currently gives the impression of having seen better days. The kitchenettes were poorly equipped even for producing a rudimentary meal. No can or bottle opener or cork screw or sharp knives were provided so take those with you if you can. The on site shop could have sold these...

New owners are working on upgrading the facility. Employees bend over backwards to be helpful. Good value for the money. Don't expect 5 star quality. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. Mosquitoes were a problem. Located quite a ways from the beach in the hills and heavy foliage little wind to deal with the mosquitoes. .

We stayed at this properly for 5 nights . The staff was accomodating and friendly. Although it may not be grand like some mexican properties, it is lovely and a very good bargain for those who want something more authentic. You stay right in the quaint village of mismaloya with all the friendly locals. The room we had was also...

Just returned from a lovely stay with my parents and sisters. We had a 2 bedroom suite on the top floor (4th floor), lovely view from the walkway with very cool lounging chairs. The room was very clean and quiet, beds were comfortable. By no means fancy, but still very nice as it felt like a real Mexican get away....

We arrived at casa iguana to an absolutely filthy apartment. It was advertised as a small equipped kitchenette, pictures to follow. There was almost nothing in the kitchen, no towels in the bathroom, no soap, no shampoo. The hot plate did not work at all, no hot water at all. After reading reviews I opted to bring cleaning supplies and...
