Many restaurants later I can tell you by far one of the most exciting and wonderful places I have been. Expensive yes, but sooo worth it. The hacienda that belonged to Richard burtonns wife Susan during and after the movie of the night of the...More
All the food sampled at this brunch was delicious. There was a good variety of dishes to choose from including sushi, smoke salmon, salads prime rib, eggs and more. The dessert table had something for everyone including fantastic crepes made to order.

Yes, brunch is seasonal. But, normally they will accommodate those staying at the hotel by serving meals where they want them. So, I would request, say breakfast, to be served there instead of your room. Of course, you will be lacking the aviance of the setting for the brunch, or the champagne you are sipping as the violinist enchants you, but the view is enough. Same, if you want lunch outside or in one of the dining areas off the courtyard. One of the most magical things about Hacienda is how much the staff cares about their visitors and do so much to please them.

Depending on how many days you are staying at San Angel, I would just rent the car for your trip north to Sayulita. You are in the center of town. If your are just exploring, hire a driver and a van. Everything is negotiable. For 30+ years we use a cab. In our youth we wold rent a car, then it was VW Things.
