Good value for the price. Very clean, comfortable, safe. Older hotel and plumbing was a problem with several instances of no water / no water pressure. But was usually fixed within very short time, so it never caused any serious problem. Glad we were young enough and in shape to climb the six flights of stairs several times a day,...

Great hotel, much better than we had even expected. All the same information as other reriviews below. Very steep climbs indeed. I would suggest to the hotel to add coffee makers and fridges to the rooms. As it is such a "climb", it would be fabulous to be able to make coffee in the morning and also keep cold drinks...

I've stayed at Hotel Irma three times and, although it's a good value for the money, it just isn't quite what it used to be. There were several days where pipes were breaking, no hot water, our ocean view rooms we had reserved were not available when we arrived, etc. There have been many rooms added over the years but...

We have been vacationing at the Hotel Irma in Zihuatanejo for 8 years. Before that, we traveled all over Mexico staying at different beach resorts for a week at a time. When we arrived to the Irma, we both knew this was where we wanted to spend our retirement vacations. I cannot say enough good about the wonderful staff both...

The advertising we saw was that all rooms were ocean view--not the case! Asked to change as were there 2 weeks--didn't happen. The room we had (19) was huge though somewhat dark. One king size bed and 2 queen beds all with box springs so comfortable. We had checked out and realized we didn't get our 10% off on our...

Walk through the front doors and you feel like you have stepped back in time. Not only is the architecture gorgeous but the staff goes well out of their way to make you feel right at home. Friendly and extremely clean accomodations are what you get here. Keep walking straight and you arrive at a breathtaking view of the ocean!...

We were 3 couples visiting Zihuatanejo for the first time. All of us had booked ocean view for extra money on Delta Vacations. The 1st couple got their ocean front room right away. The 2nd couple was told they had to wait for it to be cleaned (and were eventually given a horrible room with no balcony and told to...

We just returned from a 10-day stay at the hotel Irma. We had a great time! We can tell from the number of people that have been returning year-after-year that the hotel treats its guest well. The staff was warm and friendly. Most spoke reasonably good English. Although it is not advertised, they had free coffee every morning at 7:30am....

We booked an ocean view room for four nights, only to be moved to a smaller, no-view, no ventilation, no safe/fridge room. The next morning, I asked to cancel my room, and they gave me the runaround. The hotel isn't clean, is poorly managed, and will not work with customers who are unsatisfied.

My husband and I have stayed at the Irma several times over the years, and will continue. It has always been well kept and clean. It had been about four years since out last trip to Zihuat. and we were happy with the small changes and updates done to the hotel and pool area and the former tennis court area....

“Second and third floor have the best views. There is no elevator.”
 of 5 bubbles 32samueld, 25 Feb 2017 | Read review
“Top floors have the best view but there are no elevators so if stairs could be an issue request a lower floor room. They do have porters to carry your bags up and down the stairs. (They make it look so easy). The ground floor rooms have bigger balcony space and still have a decent view because the hotel itself is up on a hill overlooking the beach.”
