We just got back from a long weekend at Casa Don Francisco... and we couldn't be happier - this place is great and the service is superb! We arrived on a Friday afternoon- they were two other couples staying at the time - they left the next morning ... we had the entire place for ourselves!!! Erica, Miriam and staff...

A wonderful stay! Here is our story: When we arrived to Casa Don, we were greeted like family. We stayed in the “El Dorado” suite and it was wonderful. The look of the city and mountains was breathtaking and the private pool was refreshing during the day. One night of our stay, we had an awesome lightning storm. We relaxed...

We came in the off-season for 5 nights, so perhaps the Hotel was under-staffed and this review needs to be taken with a grain of salt. HOWEVER... We also stayed at Casa Que Canta for 5 nights, dined several times at Villa Del Sol, and checked out Amuleto and Club Intrawest. While above-average and middle-of-the-road price-wise for the area (and...

My husband and I learned about Hotel Casa Don Francisco on TripAdvisor. This property is nice, but certainly does not warrant 4 stars. Our suite was reasonable, but the bed was so hard we had to take anti-inflammatories to relieve aches and pains. The air-conditioner is a wall-unit and is barely able to cool the room. A small rickety refrigerator...

We spent part of our honeymoon at the Hotel Casa Don Francisco and had a fabulous time. We stayed in the El Dorado suite and everything was amazing. There is a huge deck with a pool, table, and hammock. The room has a king size bed, big closets, minibar, and nice bathroom. The breakfasts every morning were excellent and filled...

My wife and I have been visiting the area since the early 1990's. We have stayed in Ixtapa & Zihuatanejo. We have stayed at the Sheraton, Barcelo (formerly the Sheraton), Las Brisas (formerly the Westin), Casa Cuitlateca and the Hotel Casa Don Francisco. The Hotel Casa Don Francisco wins hands down. After spending 5 days at the Barcelo with family...

My wife and I just returned from a week at Casa Don Francisco. This was our third trip to Zihu, and our first stay at Casa Don Francisco (previous trips were 2000 & 2003, CDF opened in 2004). Previously we'd stayed at Villa Del Sol and were concerned that we might be disappointed in the smaller hotel. Let me assure...

The south end of Playa La Ropa is quiet, with a wonderful view to the north of Playa Madera and the old village part of Zihua. This boutique hotel is wonderfully situated. Designed by the best architect on this stretch of the Mexican coast, the tropically inspired rooms with little infinity edge pools are perched high enough to catch the...
