My friend Jim, who's live on the beach in Nayarit, found us accommodations at Las Sabilas. Robert, the proprietor and a retired landscape architect, had made an error in booking for four of us. So he invited Jim and me to stay at his home a few blocks away. It was an awesome, gorgeous, tranquil oasis in the middle of... More

Las Sabilas - i wish I could move this place up a notch to 3 stars - it wouldn't be hard for the owner to do this. Just clean the place up and fix the broken stuff. The gardens are delightful and I like that it had a communal kitchen - but it was scary just using the coffee maker,... More

I am a couple of years late in posting this but when I saw such a negative review I felt like I must share our experience. We booked our five day stay pretty last minute but could not have been happier when we reached our destination. This is on our top ten list of great places we have stayed in... More

From the outside Las Sabilas could best be described as boring. It is just a door and gate on the street. Prepare to be amazed when you walk in. The place is a feast for the eyes. Every nook and cranny on the property boasts creative intent. Every accommodation (I think there are 6) has unique craftsman features. We were... More

Las Sabilas is located in the old historic downtown, you do have an opportunity to experience a vibrant and full of live neighborhood. Blocks away from Degollado Theater and the Cathedral perfect places for those great pictures. The construction of the house brings you back in time, Bob's gardens give you a sense of peace, enjoy a cup of coffee... More

My husband and I just spent 3 nights at this beautiful retreat in the heart of Guadalajara. The area was safe and close to many great sites and restaurants. The property is breathtakingly beautiful. Each room is unique with its own artistic touch. The gardens are spectacular, as the owner in a professional in landscaping. We enjoyed the quiet space... More

This place was the best of my Guadalajara trip. It's a lovely, warm, welcoming B&B or rather "guest house" with amazing gardens and an amazing host: north american landscape designer Robert Clark. The place is an oasis, once you are there you hardly want to leave. The place has a lovely pool, nice kitchen and outdoor garden with scents that... More

Las Sabilas is like a diamond in the rough. The owner is an professional gardener who has turned his property into his artistic playground. We found that, after spending an afternoon downtown in the chaos which is Guadalajara, this quiet and quirky refuge was exactly what we were craving. The owner is really laid-back and sat by the pool, smoking... More

We went around and around before finally landing on a week-long stay at Las Sabilas... Were there bugs around? Yes. Was there a cat in our room at night? Yes. Was all of this a little bit strange, but also awesome? YES! Las Sabilas is not a luxury accommodation, but it is comfortable, has a nice location and is a... More

We just got back to Lakeside from a couple of nights in Las Sabilas, and we were reluctant to leave! The vibrant colors of our room, the stained glass accents, the comfortable bed and chairs, the wall lights, all made me wish I was half as skilled at creating decor and atmosphere. The quiet and very effective large ceiling fan... More

Our property is "tourist class" and the location is typical of local working-class neighborhoods. We boast exceptional gardens and outdoor living spaces.
