We absolutely loved the place and its staff. Robert, the owner, was so nice and interesting. My daughter loved the pool and the resident dog Lobo. Max, the manager, was very helpful and ordered delivery for us the first night we were there since it was so late when we arrived. And he had coffee going every morning. The foliage...

As soon as I went through the gate into the beautiful garden environments of Las Sabilas, I felt I was at home--the gardens, pool, and intimate lay out of this guest house suited me perfectly! The folks I met during my stay were warm, diverse, and with many unique backgrounds--I came back telling all my friends it was like "being...

I have now stayed at Las Sabilas twice for three days each time. Just got back from the last visit. Both times I went for two days and stayed another just to relax and soak up the beautiful atmosphere. The fact that I can afford to be in such a beautiful place surrounded by a breathtaking garden, and even a...

At first glance, Las Sabilas is gorgeous. The gardens, the architecture, the design, all beautiful. Unfortunately, after 5 minutes you begin to notice just how filthy and neglected the place is. The curtains are covered in a thick layer of dust and spotted with bug nests. The clay tile floors have hundreds of black spots on them - which come...

We took this review very seriously and fired our housekeeper, who had gotten slack in her duties. We have since hired a very bright, hard-working, and charming housekeeper who keeps the place very clean and nice. We have gotten new sheets and towels and feel like we have resolved all the issues and concerns in this damning review. We send...

Just lovely. The staff is attentive, warm and generous and respectful of your space. We loved Max, the concierge. . .Las Sabilas is literally minutes from the heart of Guadalajara--one can enjoy the lushness of the gardens of the hotel or step into the beauty of the city, all within moments. Do plan to visit the market and buy the...

This hotel was absolutely wonderful. The minute you walk in, you see the hallway: An outdoor one, that is. The landscaping and architecture of the buildings and surroundings were astonishing, and the outdoor pool made it look just that much more professional. The rooms were gorgeous, complete with a PRIVATE garden. It was quite large in size, and had a...

The vision of Bob, the landscape architect / architect of this place, really shines through at this place. It's centered around a pool in the courtyard, and our room was right next to it on the ground level. We enjoyed talking about architecture and plants, and my own crazy ideas for a "Glassblower" Bar & Grill, and a Gotham SideWalks...

You won't believe it til you see it. Take a look at the photos - they are not just of the pretty parts - everywhere you look, you're wrapped in beauty. Unique style; warm, welcoming folks; and, yes, just 6 blocks from historic downtown. But why would you leave? The perfect romantic getaway!

Wonderful location just six blocks from the GDL City Center with loads of activities, site seeing and shopping. Las Sabilas is owned by Bob Clark who is an outstanding host and wonderful gardener. My suite overlooked the pool and gardens and was just stunning. Had total access to the internet , phone service, pool and kitchen, all gratuitous. Bob and...

Spent a week in Guadalajara in late May at Las Sabilas. Both the city and the hotelito were beyond my expectations. I visited most Mexican Colonial Cities before going to GDL. I like DF, but assumed GDL was a big city with the disadvantages and none of the advantages of DF. I was wrong. GDL is a wonderful destination and...
