We stayed two nights and admired the beautiful and romantic qualities of the mansion. I particularly took notice of the buttery-soft napkins in the dining room (the only way I could think to describe how soft they were). Everything is clean, and I felt safe. I also loved the space there. The room we had was in the attic area...

The hotel is great and well located, just far enough from town to stay away of the city noise, however, need a taxi or walk a good 15 minutes to town. The bed, however, is too firm for our taste, and squeeky. Stayed on the roof room where you are exposed to the roof joists, which are too low, and...

The three attic rooms are the less expensive ones but, if you don't feel like being in a really low ceiling room make a reservation for another suite. This is a nice hotel if you want to be 10 minutes (taxi) away from noisy downtown Guanajuato. Housekeeping is excellent. Food is very good. Employees are ready to help guests with...

From the outside the hotel looks lovely and the first impression is great, but after that it is a disapointment. The front part of the hotel is an elegant vacation home restoration. It is charming and relects an era when Mexicans were enchanted with elegant French decors. I got a glimpse of one of the rooms in this part of...

We reserved a room with two beds but were led to an attic room with one bed. That attic room has several metal bars going through the entire room, at the "head/torso" level. My understanding is that all attic rooms are like that. This might seem like a cute architectural detail but actually you WILL bump into this metal several...

Such a nice hotel, and most rooms have a lovely view of the park across the road. The decor is old fashioned but it suits the very old building with creaking wooden floors and sparkling chandeliers. Breakfasts were great and the staff were very professional. The only downside is that it is not very close to the part of Guanajuato...

This is a very pretty place to stay. My room was quite large, with large shuttered windows overlooking the street, a nice, posh bathroom, and more modern ameneties than you'll usually see in a hotel (they even have a free DVD library for your room's dvd player). The grounds are quite pretty; they have a cactus garden on the upper-most...

Las Acacias is a great hotel—beautiful, clean, quiet, unique, romantic. My partner and I found a great deal through Travelocity and stayed there for three nights. Breakfast was delicious and was included in the price. All hotel employees are very attentive, informative, and helpful. We stayed in one of the attics, Las Dos Comadres, which is beautiful, nicely decorated and...

There are many rooms with different styles to choose from. Beautiful gardens, a small pool. There are colonial rooms in the main buildings, and other rooms offer lots of privacy . so peaceful, located on La Prresa, and just a 10 minute walk to the center of town. Great restaurant, too.

This has been one of the best hotels I have stayed at, it is a great very romantic hotel, I was there for one night and would have loved to stay there much longer. The rooms are each different decorated to the perfection as early 1900 rooms, which gives it an excellent appearance. Arriving there in car is very easy...

“Rooms facing the street are a mixed blessing. They face a lovely park. However, they can also be noisier due to traffic.”

“The suite that we had was large and had a sitting area and a very large Jacuzzi area doubling the size of the bathroom. The bathroom had natural lighting which was a bonus. Ask for a suite. There is no fridge or microwave in the rooms but the staff were responsive with ice and glasses.”

“Re fitness Center/spa.....the reviews above are inaccurate...I couldn't seem to get it to just leave those two items blank. There was a small pool, but this is not a place one should go if they are seeking a typical big pool/spa experience. It is a gorgeous hotel....lovely grounds, rooms, patios, service, etc. The idea, usually, when visiting a place such as Guanajuato, is to go for the culture and history of this city, the fact that our hotel was a wonderful place to return to each day definitely heightened our entire experience. It was such a lovely, tranquil place. The newer part of the hotel is what I would recommend. It is sort of Santa Fe like I suppose....lots of cactus, stone walkways, patios....just lovely!”

“Every room is different ... the ones out back in the cactus garden area are all newer and are suites and the ones in the house itself I did not see but would guess smaller and less money”
