An excellent choice, centrally located, at an economical price. You do not have to break the bank to stay in a hotel in the historical center of Guanajuato. This hotel is proof of that. comfortable, clean, safe with a friendly helpful staff. I have been to Guanajuato four times and have stayed here twice. I can't imagine staying anywhere else....

And the beds are hard. Had a fabulous experience with the shower--it didn't drain and water poured into the bathroom. Funny to watch the wastepaper basket float away. They are currently renovating but a pretty new headboard on the bed shouldn't have been the priority. Don't get excited over breakfast unless you like cold eggs and dishwater coffee.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days in Feb. 2013. We were shown to our room, which had 2 double beds which were, for us, really hard. We upgraded to a queen room, which was a better room. The staff was very helpful about this and only charged us a little more for the upgrade. It's not a luxury...

We never book a trip without first checking the reviews on Trip Advisor. So, every time we arrive at a hotel we expect it to be fairly decent. This hotel had some excellent reviews but did not live up to our expectations. I would love to write a positive review about this place but we were seriously disappointed in it....

I stayed with my family for 2 nights in a room on the 3rd floor on December 2011. It's a very nice simple hotel, not luxurious but very clean and staff is very nice and helpful. The restaurant where breakfast is served is small but clean and with good service and quality. Its location is the best, across the street...

We spendt 2 nighs at this hotel. The location is within walking distance to el centro. Staff was friendly. Free computer access in the lobby and wireless in the rooms. The bathrooms are tiny. We had multiple problems with the toilet in our room - a leak, then it quit flushing. The shower was more like standing under a garden...

Mansion del Cantodor is everything it had promised to be; clean, cheerful, and inexpensive. Also, as advertised, it’s 15 minutes from downtown and sits across the street from a little park. Complimentary breakfast is offered, along with the kindest staff on the planet, who bent over backwards to translate, and produce my partner’s request for coffee to go, with ‘liquid’...

If you are staying a few days in GTO this is a nice hotel. You are exactly in downtown GTO. You are walking distance to the mummys and el Mercado of GTO. Very nice and they give you breakfast every morning.
