We had 3 people so all large rooms were on 2nd floor and in the back, which was OK. We had the lux to check out different rooms, all to be the same and have not been upgraded in awhile. Although the room was not a small, it felt very confining. Beds were OK (firm) and bathroom was clean (not...

It is difficult to find a centrally located hotel in Guanajuato...but we tried. One review said," Rooms facing the plaza are noisy" so - we asked for a quiet room. We got one without a window! The room was very small, the bathroom required one to sit sideways on the toilet. (I'm only 5'2" and my legs were too long.)...

Posada Santa Fe has a beautiful spacious lobby, but my room itself was TINY, gloomy, shabby, dark, and was bereft a window, (except just below the ceiling) and the furniture looked as though it had been selected at a 50% off sale at Goodwill. I wondered, on each of the four nights I was there, whether they'd bought the bed...

I'm glad that I did not go on the reviews posted for this hotel. I had a very decent experience there. It is perfectly located in the center of the city of Guanajuato, right on the Jardín Union. My adult son and I were studying Spanish for several weeks in the nearby town of San MIguel de Allende, and took...

This Hotel has a great location but that is pretty much it. Rooms are depressing. They are filthy, i no AC (room temperature about 85 degrees), no water pressure in shower, fan did not work, no screen in windows, no hair dryer, no iron/board. This hotel is surrounded by at least 3 churches which bells rang all night long and...

We stayed at this hotel because of the location, but the hotel itself is a bad place to stay., The room was very dark, no air conditioning, and the worse was the bathroom, it had this terrible sewer smell, and the staff is not oriented to deal with turists.

We climbed up to the second floor (the famous room #42) to our room (no elevator) which was 87 degrees according to my Brookstone travel clock, a fan that sounded like a jet engine with no working on off switch, a tiny window, no working TV until we called the desk and they sent up a remote. The TV on/off...

Hotel is charming..but room smelled of mold. They need to reno rooms, beds and bathroom. We had to be moved from original room. Upgraded to a suite..not much better. Hotel staff needs to be sent to a training class on service. Manager should go with them.
