Great place warm People, i recommend it strongly, if you are coming to médica sur hospital for a surgery or a check up this place is great because it is inside the complex, as you know médica sur has a partnership with Mayo clínic, médica sur is the Best Hospital in México, thanks for your kind help, blessings
The most important thing for people staying here this is a hotel inside a hospital what it means it is designed on purpose for people who is visiting or for people that need to be close, if you see things that way it’s a perfect hotel to be with the ones you love, downstairs they have varios restaurants like “Frutos Prohibidos” “Starbucks” and “wings” Very clean, affordable prices/location/value Recommended 😊 (Médica Sur is de Hospital and is one of the best)
This hotel is weird. Feels more like a hospital because it is in a hospital. The lobby is on the 5th floor. Access is difficult and through the hospital parking lot. Tiny elevators. Inside the rooms the lighting, bathroom and overall feel are like being in a hospital. I chose this hotel because of the overall location in the city, but I now regret it.
The hotel is mostly for hospital / treatment purposes. It is located inside a hospital. The hotel is really nice. It has one restaurant which has very decent food and great service. The place is nice and quite and of course conectes to the hospital. Very convenient for patients and their families. There is a small gym and a 24 hr Starbucks next to the building.
For what you pay for the room they could easily include the parking fee even if the parking lot belongs to the hospital the hotel is in. Probably it will rate better if it wasn't for that and that I was in a hurry to leave but because of a mistake in the exchange of the parking ticket I lost almost 45 minutes until someone assist me to get the gate opened
Located inside a medical complex, this hotel can be useful for people attending the hospital (was my case) or going around to other hospitals, Azteca stadium, UNAM, and a lot of other places nearby ... great service including a WINGs restaurant.
I've stayed at the Holiday Inn at Medica Sur numerous times and have never been disappointed with my visits! The front desk staff are super customer service oriented and you're made to feel welcome as soon as you enter the lobby. The lobby area is small but well-appointed and offers a business center as well as a couple of meeting rooms. Rooms are spacious, always clean, and they now offer consistently great wifi service. No issues at all with slow connections. There is a gym with a nice choice of cardio equipment but unfortunately no weight machines apart from free weights. The city and mountain views are certainly a plus though. The only restaurant on property, Wings, is decent for a quick bite but doesn't offer much beyond pretty basic dishes. If you're craving wings and burgers with fries, they're on the menu although I haven't tried them. Usually I'll order the more traditional Mexican dishes, which are ok. Great papaya and fresh juices though!…
If you are going to the hospital is verY confortable, is in the facility! But if you stay in the hotel because is close of somewhere else i would check my options. The people most of them nice. The gym wasnt available, but they didnt mention it when i reserved by phone. The rooms are ok, clean. Is some close of six flags, really close of the Estadio Azteca.
If you have any business to do in the south of Mexico City, for example visiting Tec de Monterrey, UNAM, the Medica Sur Medical Center, stay here! Dollars for doughnuts, I don't think you can find anything comparable. Service was excellent, but more importantly the rooms we had, two, each with kings, were exquisite. Phone in the washroom, swivel flat screen so you can watch TV from anywhere (and I mean anywhere), safe, coffee maker, good thread sheet count, lots of English channels, great towels, etc, etc, etc. All for under $100 USD a night.
We were put in this hotel as it was close to our company's office in Tlalpan where we were visiting for 5 days. However, nobody warned us that this hotel is truly IN the hospital. Taxi drivers can find it quite confusing to get to the back and of the multiple floors, only two are the hotel (5 & 6) - the others are all various departments of the hospital itself. The rooms were very spacious and clean (all are wheelchair accessible) but the entire concept was bizarre. Great if you have relatives in the hospital but I couldn't really see another reason why you'd stay. Food was pretty poor in the place, room service finished at 9pm and it wasn't that safe to go walking around outside - I found that even though I speak a little Spanish and always try speaking a foreign language first, I really couldn't get myself understood without showing google translate. Only the front desk speaks any English.…
