If you want to see the best of modern, upscale Mexico City, you could hardly have a better location - smack dab in Roma Norte and fairly close to Condesa and Polanco (all interesting, trendy, safe neighborhoods, with excellent bars and restaurants). Also convenient for getting around town, as you are close to the major avenues like Insurgentes, Reforma, etc....

We arrived 4 hours late due to our plane being delayed so by the time we got to the hotel it was 10pm. There was no room service available nor were we offered anything to eat or drink. The mini bar was empty and my husband had to go across the road to the store and buy some beer! We...

The hotel over all is fine, but there were somethings that really irked me. Before the ugly, the good. The hotel is in a very good neighborhood. I felt safe and there were plenty of places to walk to. The room was also spacious. The bad: The hotel is old, and you can hear everything. In the middle of the...

We just came back from our 5th stay at La Casona and we'll stay there again. There was initially a little mix up with our reservation (we didnt' get the king-size bed we'd requested in the reservation, but had reserved through Orbitz and that might have been the problem). It was resolved the day we checked in. Our room was...

Yes, La Casona is super chic and cool. Yes, the decor and design is very interesting and hip. Yes, it is an old mansion in a super cool neighborhood. So stay there for that. The only thing that bothered me was the front desk personnel were so snobby and cold that I could barely breath there. I get that they...

Fifteen years ago, La Casona was one of the first boutique hotels to open in Mexico City. I used it a lot in the late 1990s, but hadn't stayed there since. I'm happy to report it has not lost any of its considerable charm. The only changes are that there is now a real bar and the eccentric oil paintings...

This is a great little hotel in Colonia Roma. It seems family run and everyone in the staff is attentive and relaxed. Rooms are tasteful, elegant and unpretentious, and the entire hotel is filled with great art on the walls, and curiosities everywhere. Its obvious that the owners care for their hotel as if it were their home, since It...

La Casona is a homey, boutique hotel with lots of Mexican handicraft touches. The staff is very friendly, helpful and speaks good English. The breakfast room is light and airy with a full selection of hot dishes (along with a cold buffet). The location in Roma-Condesa is excellent if you have friends or business associates (as many artistic and media...
