Typically at BW you know what to expect and are seldom surprised although from time to time disappointed. This proved to be the case at the BW Estoril. The hotel is advertised as being in the Historico Centro of Mexico City. True enough I guess, but they fail to mention it is also in the middle of a commercial part...

We were delayed in our flight and ended up having to find a hotel in Mexico City for three nights. The Best Western Estoril had availability and we were glad they did. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left, the staff were as helpful as they could be, offering suggestions for things to do...

I was not atall impressed with this hotel. The room was very small and the ac was extremely old fashioned and didn't really work very well. The hotel had probably the worst Internet access I've used in 5 years, they said it was working fine, but it was slower than dialup. The service at the front desk was appalling, to...

Stayed here for a Contiki trip by myself. Beds were VERY hard (and I pride myself on being able to sleep anywhere) so sleeping the first night was a bit of a struglle. The air con / heater in my room kept turning off and the water in the shower was freezing. The rooftop pool area was great, although they...

I've ordered this hotel after getting some recommendations. Very central and clean. I got room number 105, which was on the street, with all its noise. Some groups who stayed there were very noisy. The breakfast was poor. Had problems with the hot water. At the morning we didn't have hot water at all and we got RUSTY water (see...

So far so good! 4 more days to our stay, but the staff has been very nice & very helpful. Everyone seems to speak enough English that it helps suppliment our very limited Spanish. Within walking distance of the National Cathedral and the Templo Major, 7-11 4 blocks up is a convenient spot for getting bottled water as you can...

Hotel is ok if you stay 1 night, rooms on the back are more quiet. Hotel need a refresh but area is safe and breakfast is decent. Water pressure for shower is an issue like in a lot of hotels in Mexico.

Staying in Alameda

Neighbourhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
