Great location walking distance to some of the major sites. Hotel in on a street with no traffic so it was very quiet. Street came alive at night lots of people and street entertainment. I grew up in NYC so this big city was a great place. Many fine restaurants, love the old buildings, Churches were stunning. Spent 4 days...

We stayed two nights. The location is perfect, just some meters from the Zocalo , right in the heart of Mexico City. Our room was old and needed an upgrade ( carpet needed to be replaced, bathroom renewed). No air conditioning, but a fan. No noisy at all. TV with a few international channels. Safe box in the room. Very...

We stayed for 4 nights in Feb. Had to change our room after first night as it overlooked Avenida Fransisco Madero and was very, very noisy. The chappy on the desk (Miguel) gave us earplugs when we checked in which was a bit of a give-away !! The earplugs were useless but no problems changing the room and the one...

Stayed at Rutz for a week and enjoyed the week there. Great location for waking to lots of wonderful places to explore in Mexico City. I always felt safe. Took some day trips out of the city and used Uber which was very reasonable for transportation. Lots of places to eat around the hotel.

This hotel is kind of simple, but with perfect location and friendly staff. the rooms are clean and functional. To my big surprise the hotel has a roof top terrace, but unfortunately there is no bar or restaurant on the top. The view would be nice and the environment quiet.

The location in between the Zocalo and the Museo Belles Artes was perfect. Our room was very comfortable and the service good. We'd recommend the margaritas at the in house bar but we found the food in the restaurant under whelming.

This hotel is close to the Zocalo, a few blocks. Be forewarned that the hotel is on a walkway, so you have to take your bags about 50 feet or saw from the street. It is a old hotel and in the process of upgrading. We went during the high season of Day of the Dead and the hotel lobby...

Pros: Close to all sightseeings. Cons: just Spanish speaking staff (even on reception), obsolete building, furniture, sanitary equipment. Chambermaid may wake you up at any time, even at 6 a.m. Waiter may ask you to pay even for prepaid breakfasts((

My daughter and I stayed one night. We felt comfortable and fairly secure. We walked to Bellas Artes to see the Ballet Folklorico and walked back when it was over. The room is not air conditioned but has a fan. The bathroom was up to date and clean. The breakfast buffet was very good.
