This is a very well known hotel, with wonderful architecture, however, the rooms are in urgent need of refurbishment as well as their linens. It is definitely not a five star unless internal work is done, excellent location.

I was staying at this hotel for weeks in 2013. One day, as it happens to all frequent travelers, my flight was cancelled. Then, it was not necessary for me to continue that business trip. I arrive at the hotel a week later. I was notified by the PS Manager that his credit card was charged for a room the...

The hotel is well located and has pretty good restaurants. The rooms are spacious but service is inconsistent. The rooms in the back, windows to the street are so noisy it seems you are sleeping with you window open. Lots of places in the hotel are contaminated by the smell of smokers.

This hotel is large with over 700 rooms and several restaurants but has a dated 1970s feel. On the positive side, the rooms are relatively comfortable and clean and the breakfast was very good. The fitness centre seemed okay. The negative was that there are no tea/coffee facilities in the room and one needs to pay approx $15 for the...

Staying at this hotel is liking living in a work of art. It's wondrous! For $130 per nite, possibly the best deal on the planet. Having a margarita right now in the lobby bar on top of a pool. Our room has a balcony on a yellow facade like a pyramid.

What this hotel needs is someone new to take it over and make it what it could be. Hotel is huge---has a cavernous lobby, wide hallways, etc. Lots of dead, empty space--in my opinion devoid of flair or personality. What it needs is a complete new refurbishment. Paint, carpeting, rooms are OLD and very tired. I am in Mexico for...

Hotel could use new paint & carpeting. Rooms are nice & Very clean. Great bathroom. No coffee maker or free wifi. Great coffee shop(Token Cafe) on 2nd floor, Warning!!! Not open on Sunday! In the hotel ate at Morimoto (okay & $$$$), Maria Bonita (good$$), Centro Castellano (okay$$$). The catered snacks for the cocktail party at the hotel were mediocre...

I stay again in this huge hotel. Nothing to say bad about the comfort of the rooms even if they would need some more light .. It is dark inside the room. The breakfast is very good and I recommend the steak house inside the hotel .. One of the best cote de boeuf I ever had in a very...

Only stayed one night and managed to get breakfast and internet included in my room rate so was pleased with the overall price. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast in Bice was good but although I only had scrambled eggs I had to pay a small "excess" fee which was surprising. Check out was delayed 15mins due to systems problems.

The room is big and has a lot of space. The bathroom is not that big, but it is ok. The only thing that I didnt like was that I took breakfast at 7:30am on sunday and they charged 380 pesos, about 30usd for eggs and juice, saying that sundays they had brunch and the price increased 100 pesos, 9usd....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camino Real Polanco is unique architectural concept, created by highly-regarded architect Ricardo Legorreta. This space is considered a Hotel-Museum for its beauty and art collection. It opened its doors to the public on July 25, 1968, combining modern features with shapes clearly reminiscent of Prehispanic pyramids, the elements of which merge together to create a wonderful architectural work. Camino Real Polanco has hosted two soccer World Cups and the Olympic Games, as well as over 210 official visits from presidents and kings from all over the world.
