The Best was saved for LAST! This hotel was the last of 3 hotels I stayed in during my 6 day visit to Mexico City and the surrounding area. This was the 2nd historic hotel I stayed in and was by far the BEST! The lobby is filled with incredible historical memorabilia. There is a wonderful restaurant located adjacent to...

I join the chorus of reviews singing the praises of this fine old hotel. Modern conveniences in this still vibrant historic hotel. The lobby and public areas are all comfortable. This hotel has all the services you need. The WIFI was reliable. The hotel was sold out during my stay. I tried to rebook and it was sold out again....

A true gem with history in every corner. We stayed for business and appreciated the relaxing atmosphere in the magnificent lobby with artwork, classical music and showcases of antique collections. The staff does not speak perfectly English but tries very hard and keeps finding out the guests wishes with a smile. Our suite was beautiful, with bathrobes, coffee machine, luxurious...

first the good, every worker, and there are a lot of them every where, had a welcoming smile and hello. the lobby is beautiful, as others have noted. but that's where it ended for me. the room itself was fine, i don't mind older furniture, shabby chic, it has a certain charm. but housekeeping was a bit lax. the first...

We spent four nights at this hotel in January, this being our first visit to Mexico City. The hotel is almost 100 years old and retains many of the trappings of a bygone age, with a wood paneled lobby area surrounded by wall to 20-high ceiling bookcases, large tables and chairs and marvelous columns. The service, however is up to...

On our arrival we were welcomed by very friendly staff into an absolutely stunning lobby. The room was fine, very clean, although the lighting wasn't great. we had a room in the back, so it was quiet, but we did hear people coming back from the bars. We ate at the restaurant every morning for breakfast (buffet) and on occasion...

This hotel has charm and authenticity in abundance and it is a pity that Trip Adviser has published so many critical reviews. Yes, it is old and old hotels tend not to have huge rooms or mega bathrooms but Geneve makes up for this by providing an experience of a "grand dame" hotel that has been (and is being) lovingly...

Beautiful and charming lobby and ground floor. We, unfortunately, had a room on a higher floor, which was not nearly at atmospheric. Nonetheless, the room was clean and comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure and hot water. If you want to be in the Zona Rosa, this place is perfect.
