As a traveler, I seldom take the time to post reviews unless I feel that a property has received an unjust rating or that staff has exceeded expectations. In this case, staff was excellent, helpful and accomodating, and having usually stayed at the big name hotels in DF, I was expecting to be disappointed. Aside from the rooms being a...

Hotel Marlowe is a great deal for what you get. I had a large bed with a large bathroom (shower) and Tv, writing area , telephone. It was quiet and the staff were extremely helpful. At night the neighborhood gets a bit "busy" but there are enough staff at the door to make sure all is well. and the hetel...

We made the reservation based on reviews and we were not disappointed. The location is excellent for seeing centro historico and for traveling to other parts of the city by metro or bus. We intended to see more of the city, but were affected by the altitude and air quality so spent much of the time in short walks around...

I was pleased with Hotel Marlowe. The place has obviously been remodeled and the appearance from the street and lobby is positive. When I first arrived (around midnight on a Saturday night) there was a lot of street noise and I was a bit nervous. My room, though, had no problem with noise (even though I was on the second...

Clean, comfortable rooms, great location near the Palacio de Bellas Artes. The mediocre breakfast was pricey, though, 100 pesos. All in all good value for money, recommended.

Marlowe has a good location in Central Mexico right next to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was important to us because we were organising a conference there. The hotel is very basic, no frills so do not expect to much. However it is clean, safe, rooms are large with free Internet. Mediocre breakfast is included. Staff speaks poor English...

Hi Everyone! Hope you'll find this useful: PRICE: Hotel Marlowe is a great bargain specially if your income is in anything stronger than Mexican Peso (Euros, Yen, Dollar, etc.). We spent 7 nights and the bill was for 400 US Dollars more or less. Visit the website, what you see is what you get, and once in there you might...

My family (including 2 boys ages 6 and 8) stayed here for 3 nights. It's a great location for the historic district of Mexico City. It is basically quite at night, but we did experience lots of noise from some fireworks coming from the "china town" district that is located 1/2 block away. (It was Chinese New Year). I would...

This was one of the lower priced hotels for an International Conference and stayed 6 days. I felt it was good value, clean rooms, comfortable, enough amenities and good buffet breakfast with fruit, juices, cereals, breads and hot dishes was included in price. It is close to two metro lines, and walking distance to Zocola, many local cafes in surrounding...

Staying in Alameda

Neighbourhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
