The bathroom was clean and free of mold. All of my valuables were locked in the safe and the rest of my items were accounted got every...

Really enjoyed the 4 nights I stayed here. The hotel is situated very close to Balderas metro so convenient for getting around and also to or from the airport. Room was clean and comfortable plus quiet. Bathroom was big with plenty of instant hot water. It was cool at night in the city so essential. Area around is quiet but...

We got a room for a single night for about $20. We just needed a place to crash for ~8 hours in between travels from Mexico City to Puebla/Cholula. This hotel served that purpose - it has wifi in rooms (a tad slow but the lobby has good connection) with free bottle of water. The toiletries aren't great (honestly you...

The hotel is nice and close to bus station (metrobus) and subway station, it is clean and the restaurant is good, it is a little dated but well kept. Nice central location. Close to very nice handcraft market. There is an empanada restaurant across the street that is very delicious for breakfast.

The room was nice, but had a smell of cigarettes after previous guests I suppose. Also it was very noisy in the night, we were waking up few times (even we are usually good sleepers). It was also very cold there, they did not provide any blanket. The staff was nice, they let us make check out later than they...

+ Clean, big rooms and very quiet for such a large town. Great location, 5 minutes to 2 different metro-stations or a 20 min walk to the Zocalo, (center-square) Taxi is easily ordered from the reception and the driver picks u up in 5 min. Large and cheap roomservice/restaurant menu. We didnt order roomservice but ate breakfast once which was...

Our King room was large and had everything you'd need, except tea/coffee making facilities - but perhaps that's just not common in Mexico. Excellent hot water in the bathroom, the towels are soft and large, but don't expect a bath mat or facewasher. The staff were all very helpful, though we only came across one man who spoke English, so...

Cheap and cheerful. Not perfect. We actually enjoyed our 8 nights there in a standard room. Bed was OK, pillows not so good. Room serviced every day, in a $20 room! Limited English at the 24 hour reception not so good but we got by.

Great hotel which is a 8/10 minute walk from the Alameda Central Park. V. Good value for money, room was clean only thing is the room had no air conditioning. Apart from that, lovely stay. Staff speak basic English, but easy to get by. Never ate in the restaurant but local amenities nearby.

Staying in Alameda

Neighbourhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
