The best thing about the hotel is its value-location. Although not very modern, the facilities where o.k. since we just went there to sleep, we where not picky about all other features. The bed was comfortable and even though the room did not have an a/c unit, during this time of the year it was not needed. The hotel is...

While not in league with the Ritz, this hotel was perfect for my travel needs. Homey, modern, clean, reasonably-priced, friendly staff, location location location! Within blocks of Belles Artes and an easy bus ride to the Zocalo. The Hidalgo Metro station is right outside the hotel, taking me to Frieda Kahlo's Blue House. The #4 bus takes you straight to...

The place is ok for the price, it isn't a five star hotel, but is in a good location, less than 10 minutes walk to reach the Bellas Artes palace and Centro Historico, there is a metro station in the next corner, it even has a restaurant (didn't eat here).

I have been staying at the Monaco for several years now. Always, it is great! You cannot beat the Master Suite -- exceptionally spacious, cable TV with some English channels, individual a/c and heating, separate dressing area, and two large beds. It is only two blocks from Alameda Park and there is a Hidalgo subway entrance just steps from the...

I booked this hotel because it was very reasonably priced at £20 a night. However the weather was so warm that I upgraded to a room with aircon. This doubled the price but it was worth it, a much bigger room and aircon which was essential. The smaller cheaper rooms do not have a window and at this time of...

I would've given this place 3 stars except I hardly got any sleep. On the plus side: My room was clean and tidy and most of the staff were friendly. One woman spoke English very well but the others only had a few words. On the downside: My bed was too hard and there wasn't any noise insulation; I could...

We stayed here with a group of 12 people in total, so were able to check out different rooms. The location is pretty sweet, rooms are somewhat old and vary vastly in terms of space. Hygiene is ok, staff does not speak a syllable english - and we would advise to avoid the breakfast as it is overpriced and of...

I stayed in this hotel for about 4 days. The room is just fine , but it didn't have any fan/a.c or heat. I need to keep my windows open for some air. And location is near to important touristy stuff. Just great for the price though.

it's one of those hotel that you get what you pay for it. Very nice hotel the rooms are small but I only need to stay on night, the wifi was really good what ever I go in side the hotel. The staff very friendly and also very nice, except for one nasty lady working on the front desk, I...

If you're looking for a hotel near everything, nice, clean and with great people, you can stay here, sincerely I didn't eat in the hotel because I always went to other restaurants but what I saw was pretty good, it's pretty great! I'll come back here for sure.

“Ask for a room which doesn't face the street although we have had one in the past and didn't notice the traffic. We had suite 418 and there was a slight noise once or twice which I recognized as the roof top water tank filling up. Room 416 or rooms on the third floor may avoid this small problem.”
