I really loved to stay at Casa Comtesse, it was charming, fancy and arty. The staff was very available. The place is surrounded with art, books and delicious Mezcal collection for degustation. Breakfast was just perfect with the most delicious bread. Comparing to the service and the beauty of the place and the location in one of the nicest neighborhood in Mexico, the room is at such a good price! I can only recommend it!

Property's Favourite Review
We absolutely LOVED this converted casa! We had the junior suite, which provided more room, a private bathroom, and an amazing view of the courtyard garden. There are pieces of original art and artifacts throughout the property, creating an eclectic, personal vibe. And we found ourselves very much at home. The manager, Mathieu, was fantastic. Personable, knowledgable, welcoming, and fluent in Spanish, French, and English, we couldn't have asked for a better host. He provided excellent recommendations for the area and even set up a private driver for us to explore some of the further destinations within the city. Without hesitation, this is where we will stay when visiting Mexico City in the future!

A delightful place to stay while making our first trip to Mexico City. Loved the quietness of Contessa but ease of taking Ubers to the surrounding areas which were further than we had thought but Inexpensive Ubers made it all possible. Sipping the Daily happy hour 2 for 1 excellent margaritas on the outside patio was a special treat. Walking to great restaurants a joy at end of busy day! Great hosts to assist in our daily plans an added bonus. Highly recommend!

We stayed from 20-26 Dec, and we couldn't have chosen a better house to stay at for Christmas. The owners generously invited us to join in their holiday party, complete with a pinata and a delicious dinner with drinks and dancing. Everybody working at the hotel was super-friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the King room, which is spacious with a nice shower. It's also nicely sound-isolated from the street noise, and any chatting going on in the living room. Tall people should beware of the ceiling height of that particular room though. It's about 6'5" / 1.96m, and there's a cross-beam that dips below 6' / 1.83m. The other rooms have more normal ceiling heights. If you're tall, I'd email the hotel for room recommendations. For breakfast, you get eggs made to taste, plus a buffet with fresh salsas, toast, coffee, juices (including jugo verde), pastries, yogurt, cereal, cold cuts, and cheese. The bar and kitchen are stocked with reasonably priced beers and mezcals, which were great to take into the courtyard to unwind from a day's touristing. Most of the Condesa area is a short walk north, with lively street markets. If you keep going in that direction, you can walk to the Anthropological museum / Chapultepec castle in 40-50 mins, through beautiful tree-lined boulevards. We enlisted the services of Rogelio, the hotel's driver, for transportation from the airport, and also for a day-long tour to the pyramids of Teotihuacan. His fees for the tour were very reasonable compared to what you could find on TripAdvisor / AirBnB. He was a very knowledgeable tour guide, not only of the pyramids, but also of the local eateries. We would definitely stay with Casa Comtesse again, and hire Rogelio for his other tours of the city.
