The Hostal is pretty cool, has nice staff (they only speak spanish) and it´s clean! They have really cool terraces, to chill out and have a beer. The area is safe and super nice! One bad thing is, that the rooms are pretty small....it´s not quite clear where to store your stuff. But overall its a really good Hostal and...

The Cuija hostel has everything you need, great location, friendly staff, nice rooms and bathroom, when you are a travel budget. I only had few days in town, and decided to spend my last day there. In the morning I went to Casa Azul - Frida's Museum, had breakfast at Mi Mercado and walked around the lovely neighborhood. I was...

I got confused and rang the bell on a different building assuming it was the hostel since it had a lizard on the wall; a man was leaving the house and explained to me that it was the office so he kindly walked with me to the hostel right across the street. The front door is super secure! you have...

At first I was unimpressed when the reception attendant didn't speak english and the room seemed simple. however it quickly grew on me and I also fell in love with the area, Coyoacan is beautiful and quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of most other parts in mexico city. I can't recommend staying here enough, you won't be dissapointed.

It felt just like at home. Very good to be at peace. Calm and quiet, in a calm and quiet area. They were nice enough to serve breakfast in the morning. Security was good too. Didn't feel like there was any risk of getting any of my stuff stolen. Very clean place. It is close to Frida's museum. Close enough...

We liked this with one exception. Good break. Nice deck for coffee in am. Great staff. Our rooms were ok too... almost. The first 3 nights we were in the tiniest room in the world. It was the size of a double bed plus 2 feet wide on the length of the bed side. No place to store or open...

My week long stay here was wonderful. The hostel is in a quite neighbourhood and is very near the the market, and a lovely little zocalo and garden. The metro station is about a 10 min walk, and an easy ride to/from the airport. I had an entire dorm to myself for most of the stay. The other guest for...

Cute little hostel in a vivid area, where you feel comfortabel to walk around during the day. The people in the hostal are super friendly, the breakfast is good and everything is clean. I stayed in a private room with a private bath, and the price was reasonable. Don't expect the comfort of a hotel. This is a hostel. And...

Staying in Coyoacan

Neighbourhood Profile
Coyoacan
Once you step into Coyoacán (“Land of the Coyotes”) you'll find picturesque parks and cantinas that will transport you back to the colonial era thanks to the brick and stone details of the area. Iconic writers such as Trotsky and great painters like Frida Kahlo seeked refuge and inspiration in this area, and you can see the unique spirit of this neighborhood reflected in its colorful market where nieves, sopes and all kinds of traditional 'antojitos' are a must try. Restaurants and cafés throughout its peaceful paved streets contain traditional but unique murals and decorations, where one can enjoy a mezcal at noon or the best churros with a cup of coffee.
