This New Zealand couple had such a great time in what was our first visit to Mexico City (and hopefully not our last) largely because of the fantastic folk at the Red Tree House. Other reviews on this site will give you accurate info on what great rooms, what a peaceful oasis and how pretty the place is. What really... More

The red tree house is one of a kind, the staff go above and beyond, super friendly, supportive, speak both Spanish and English. The rooms are beautiful and the atmosphere is relaxed and soothing, a great escape from the busy city. I cannot recommend this place enough, just amazing, a really genuine place showing off true Mexican hospitality.

The moment our cab arrived , in the dark, in the rain, Victor & Ricardo were right there at the gate to welcome us & see us in. This set the tone for our entire visit. All the host staff (Victor, Ernesto, Alejandro, Ricardo, Martin) were unobtrusive, yet always gracious & available to answer questions or provide directions or advice.... More

Just discovered this gem of a hotel in La Condessa one of the best neighbourhoods of Mexico city. Its a a converted colonial home made into a tasteful hotel where all the rooms are different and tastefully decorated with Mexican art. We got the penthouse suite with two rooms, a sitting room and a terrace. So much better than the normal... More

What can I add that hasn't already been written about this wonderful little home away from home. It was a big part of making our first trip to Mexico City a joy in every way. We met such interesting people -- how about a Rwandan woman married to a Dutch man who works for the German government to help preserve... More

I only stayed one night at the Red Tree House, but it is a lovely place with very kind and attentive "hosts" and personalized touch. The rooms are all different and tastefully decorated, and the breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Condesa is one of the most charming parts of Mexico City and this B&B is a lovely place from which... More

Everything about the Red Tree House is fantastic. The location (Condesa) is a lush and green part of town with many good restaurants and cafes. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable - not like a 5 star hotel but simply furnished with original art work and bathrooms with white fluffy towels. The staff are super-friendly and go above and... More

I can't take credit for finding this gem, my traveling partners did. But boy am I glad that they did. This was one of the best traveling experiences of my life. The location was perfect. We had the penthouse, which was perfect. The staff is perfect. My only problem was not staying a couple more days. This will be remedied... More

Having stayed at the Red Tree House for a number of years on my way to and from Vancouver to Puerto Escondido, I cannot recommend this lovely B&B highly enough. Recently I was caught up in the disaster in Acapulco. After 6 days I was finally evacuated by the army back to Mexico. Jorge, Craig, Ernesto, Victor, Alejandro y Martine... More
