We loved this hotel. It is 400 years old but was originally a convent now converted to a hotel. A lot if the rooms are on the street so quite noisy. We got in upgrade to a room in the courtyard still in the old section, so a little noisy when people ar restaurant. Which by the way had the...

We went here at someone's suggestion. It is beautiful on the outside and in the courtyards, but the rooms are too small for the price you pay. We had dinner at the restaurant and ordered black angus fillet steaks, and I swear it was not beef. The texture and flavor were completely different than beef. The food was just warm...

This is by far the most beautiful hotel that I've ever stayed in. I came here for a wedding and it was the most perfect, picturesque venue. The rooms were amazing with their incredibly tall ceilings. The beds were another kind of comfortable! The swimming pool was a nice place to congregate with my mates, catch some rays and crack...

Stayed here for a week to celebrate a friend's wedding. The hotel grounds are gorgeous, and (unsurprisingly) everyone was taking photos at all times. Whilst it is a bit of a labyrinth, and easy to get lost in, the kind front desk staff were on hand to help at all times. The only thing that bothered me was the speed...

Checked into the hotel, took them over a half hour to find my reservation, even though I showed them the email confirmation, was told this was due to the fact that the reservation was made the same day. The next morning asked for directions to the mercado de indepencia and was sent in the exact opposite direction. That afternoon went...

Superb hotel accommodations and service. Old convent converted into pristine hotel. Amazing service and buffet breakfast each morning with both local and non-local flavors. Would go again without pause.

Fabulous magical place, wonderful rooms, marvelous patio and swimming pool. The room is also in colonial style, with red tiles on the floor and breathing the devote atmosphere of a monastery. Oaxaca is one of the pueblos magicos of Mexico and to walk from la Quita Real to la iglesia de Santo Domingo gives you a profound sense of happiness.

The photos don't do justice to how beautifully this building has been restored. We had a great experience with friendly service, excellent amenities (pool, gym, 24-hour room service, laundry, etc.), and in a super convenient location. Only complaint is small rooms, and lots of street noise overnight (we happened to be staying on a weekend though).

Whilst I believe for a tourist that this is the best place to stay, I would not describe it as five star luxury. It is full of charm being a converted convent and we stayed here for the first time in 1998 choosing again to stay here in December 2016. Rooms are good as is hotel service. Breakfast was served...

The Quinta Real Oaxaca is one of the prettiest hotels I've ever stayed. The flowers are amazing; there's one courtyard with plantings and pots of bougainvillea that's just breathtaking. The restaurant has seating inside and in a courtyard and makes a beautiful setting for a nice meal. The hotel is in a former convent, and although I only saw a...
