Having read reviews about noise we asked specifically to have a quiet room at check in and were offered a choice of 2, both cramped. But we got used to the small space and felt it worth it to avoid the street noise in this centrally located hotel. Despite the lack of space, we still had coffee making facilities and...

If what you want is traditional architecture, patio, AC, balcony, a lounge, restaurant, and just step out to walk around Oaxaca's historical downtown, Hostal de la Noria is your choice. Its high wooden ceilings and tile bathrooms make your stay very pleasant with quiet rooms and birdie hallways.

A friend and I just returned from Oaxaca last night after a very enjoyable 5 night stay at Hostal de La Noria. This is not a "hostel" as you might think such as a youth hostel-it is a reglular hotel. We were greeted with a smile from the moment we walked in and were treated with courtesy and friendliness every...

Nicely situated in the centre of Oaxaca (Wahaca in English), this charming hotel is quite quirky in style and I had a lovely room which was quite spacious. Nicely furnished looking out onto the street. The main square is just a short walk along the street. I didn't use the restaurant in the evening as I wasn't particularly hungry. We...

This is a unique beautiful, historic, hacienda hotel, located a few minutes from the fabulous Oaxaca and a pedestrian-only street. The ambience is warm and inviting. There is a quiet roof terrace with a lovely view of the city and another small pool interior terrace for quiet times. Rooms vary in size and look, but all are charming. Staff are...

Our group, of 30, ("Secretos de México") just spent a long week-end in Oaxaca and we stayed at Hostal de la Noria. The hotel is very comfortable, clean and excellent location, very central and within walking distance of main sights. We had breakfast in hotel, one not so good but two super, local traditional dishes well served by attentive staff....

Although I've stayed here before, I was bumped from an Aeromexico flight and was give the choice to stay by the airport in Oaxaca or downtown. I chose downtown, since I travel every year there and I'm familiar with the city. The Hostal de La Noria, is a beautiful hotel just a block and a half from the Zocalo, and...

I've stayed in Hostal de la Noria twice - close to the zocalo, well maintained, really beautiful place! There are a couple courtyards - a front one that is part of the restaurant, and a more quiet back one. Wireless throughout the hotel, and I really have enjoyed the food at the hotel restaurant.

Well placed near the main square, this traditional hotel in fine old building offers good value for money with breakfast in rather formal restaurant. Very helpful staff always on hand. Having declined the first room offered as it had no windows, we opted for an alternative which had. In this room and the adjacent one the double glazing seals had...
