After twelve years, we returned to Oaxaca and to Las Golondrinas. We still loved the city and the hotel. The price is very reasonable; the staff are always friendly and try to be helpful. They have a morning breakfast - for a charge - that is very reasonable outside on the patio. The best part of the hotel is the...

We visited Oaxaca October 2016 for two weeks to catch the Dias de los Muertos celebrations as well as tour the city and surrounding craft villages, which we loved. This hotel has basic, very clean amenities, with good firm beds and wonderful gardens throughout the property. Breakfast is available in one of the gardens, and I suggest you go there...

While staying in downtown LA for 1&1/2 days went there twice because the carnitas are so good as are their margaritas! It is set in the charming Pueblo Los Angeles with patio dining as well as indoor seating.

We had one last night in Oaxaca and booked a room at this hotel. It's a great little place for so many reasons. The staff, the gardens, the rooms and the location to name a few. I loved how they had places around where you could refill your water bottle if needed. The gardens attracted many birds which is lovely....

Tranquility, lush, verdant gardens and value. Los Golondrinas is a charming oasis in the busy Centro. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful- rooms and grounds immaculate. Relaxed feel- never stuffy. My only suggestion would be to improve the breakfast. Great menu with delicious fresh food, but if there are more than a few people food can take a while...

This was my first visit since the hotel changed ownership. It is as wonderful as always. Many of the staff are still there and the former owner was even there for breakfast one morning. The gardens are ablaze with color. The only thing I missed was that they no longer serve chilaquiles for breakfast.

One of our favourite places we stayed in Mexico. The gardens are amazing and the rooms are nice. The staff helped to recommend things to do and were really helpful. The location is great and its easy to walk around Oaxaca. I would highly recommend staying here.

Las Golondrinas is a great little hotel option. It won't be for everyone, but it has a lot going for it. The hotel is VERY basic. Simple rooms. Bath & hand towels, but no wash cloths or bath mat. Beds are pretty firm, but not uncomfortable. Only one pillow/bed. Rooms are clean. No rugs, not much decoration. Lots and lots...

I was traveling alone and had to stay in three different rooms at this hotel. Each were outstanding. They were very clean, surrounded by beautiful gardens (see photo's) and managed by a great staff who were patient, friendly, caring of my time in Oaxaca and had a sense of humor. Loved it. My only suggestion for a better experience -...

We have been here two weeks, and love the hotel. The rooms surround a series of gardens. Even in January, plenty is flowering. It is wonderfully lush with potted plants, bougainvillea and climbing vines providing partial shade over the breakfast area. Conveniently located within easy walking distance of the zocalo, and close to many good restaurants on Garcia Vigil, Alcala...
