I enjoyed everything about Villa Oaxaca and would stay there again. However, the only downside was that it was a fair distance from central Oaxaca, although the hotel staff was very helpful in arranging taxis, etc.

If you don't mind taking taxis into town, stay in the hills and have a relaxing experience in Oaxaca. Your hosts help get tours and give advice in where to go in town. Food is fabulous. We stayed wih a large family group and took three rooms. We all loved the hosts and their hospitality. Highly recommend.

We had one of the rooms in the main house; spacious, beautiful and with a private balcony. Very clean and bright. The pool was also a treat but perhaps the best thing was the choice and quality of food at breakfast. A different main course every day. The lovely owners accommodated us when our daughter unexpectedly joined us and all...

We loved staying at Villa Oaxaca. The accommodations were great, very large room(s), well appointed, bottled water, chocolate left each night, extremely quiet and peaceful. Our hosts, however, were the highlight. Rebecca and Juan and daughter Rebecca couldn't have been more hospitable, interesting and helpful. Every morning we had a different and delicious breakfast with our hosts. It was a...

One of the best places we've stayed anywhere. Beautiful accommodations, beautiful room, warm, welcoming and knowledgeable hosts, great breakfasts. Convenient to center of town. We stayed a week, should have stayed a month.

It was our first time in Oaxaca, and we came with good friends. Our time ( eight days) was a whirlwind of experiences during the Day of the Dead. Our stay at Villa Oaxaca provided relaxing moments before we set off on our next days' adventures, either in the city or exploring surrounding villages, ruins, and countryside. The families' hospitality...

This was a great place to stay. It is a very quick cab ride away from the city center or a just a 30 minute walk. I did not miss out on anything by not staying in the center of the city, and it was nice to come back to peace and quiet at night. The family running the bed...

This is truly a great Oaxaca lodging option for anyone looking for a quieter, peaceful location farther uphill from downtown but easily reachable by a taxi ride. The friendly helpfulness of family and staff make all the difference, and they serve a great breakfast daily including an ever-changing variety of delicious Oaxacan dishes. Go and see for yourself!

A very beautiful and welcoming place. The hosts took very good care of me and gave me a lot of good advice. It is not in the centre of Oaxaca but easy to access with taxi. Calm and relaxing. Spacious room and great breakfast. I highly recommend this B&B.
