This is a classy old mansion that has been turned into a small scale hotel while retaining it's old fashioned charm. The rooms are very spacious, clean and containing all the amenities that I look for - modern bed with a firm mattress, excellent bathroom with shower, in room safe, good lighting and comfortable furniture. I always felt very safe...

You cant miss this place. It is a small hotel in Oaxaca´s downtown. It is a house with spacious traditional rooms with all the modern amenities. You truly CANT miss this place to stay at Oaxaca, 2 minutes away from the Central Plaza. The restaurant is placed in the middle of the patio, and the food is spectacular. The rooms...

My trip to Oaxaca would have been a disaster, if had not been for the kind, generous attention we received at Casa de Sierra Azul. We came into town at 12:00a.m. with another hotel for the Oaxaca film festival...to our disappointment, the hotel was awful. I called Sierra, and they were able to accomodate us at that late hour. We...

Oaxaca is a wonderful authentic city for travelers to enjoy all that Mexico offers. The people are charming and friendly. The hotel couldn't have been more accommodating, even exchanging money for me. The maid service was exceptional. And the breakfast everyday was superb. The food was also quite good at other restaurants we visited. I stayed in the hotel 11...

I stayed there two days during the festival of Oaxaca. The staff is very kindly and the amenities and room were also reasonable. The location of the hotel was closed to the central square. But the signal of wifi in my room was too weak, so I couldn't connect it.

I will simply state the pros and cons. The pros: terrific location, very friendly staff, beautiful building and rooms ... The cons: no hot water - ever - I took cold showers for four days, and on my last day could not even take a shower because there was no water pressure; also, dangerous in the dark - I had...

This hotel is located close to the zocalo, historic sites and some wonderful dining experiences. The rooms are large with really (I mean really!) comfortable beds. The bathrooms are spacious, although the hot water system is a bit tricky to adjust. There is a nice roof-top terrace with views to the surrounding hills. The staff try hard, and can organise...

This hotel is very pretty. The rooms are descent, with high ceilings, but some of the rooms lack amenities like safe deposit boxes, acs etc. The wifi service was pretty bad as well... But being on vacation, all this is not of as much importance as service. The wait staff was very cordial but really slow at the same time....
