Travelers with a taste for elegance and comfort will delight at the chance to stay at the newest in the series of Oaxaca's Parador Hotels, "Parador San Agustin". The Parador San Agustin was recently transformed from a deteriorating 16th century colonial estate into a charming, four star hotel with 16 rooms, and an excellent restaurant which, in itself, makes this hotel well-worth the visit. Whether you're a tourist determined to experience the wonders of Oaxaca, or a business person on the run, San Agustin's combination of efficiency, modernity and old-fashioned charm will fit the bill.

Would defiantly stay here again was very comfortable, very clean, great staff and awesome location close to Zocalo. Staff were very helpful from everything from Taxi’s, which tours to take and so much more.

The location was great and so was the breakfast which is made fresh everyday! Also the staff was really nice and helpfull. Our room was spacious and clean but facing the very busy and loud street - if you wish for more quietness, ask for rooms that don‘t face the street. The

Hotel is located just next to the Zocalo in Oaxaca and within close walking distance to most of the things you could want to see there. Staff there was really friendly and helpful, we were even offered complementary breakfasts during our stay if we pay in cash which was lovely.

The Parador San Agustin is located in the center of Oaxaca City. It is within 5 minutes walk of the Zocalo and minutes from many of the really good sights and restaurants of the city. A small hotel, it is very comfortable, good sized rooms and a marvelous balcony for gathering

We are almost reluctant to reveal this gem. The Parador San Agustin – one block from the Zócalo – is such a treasure we are tempted to keep it to ourselves. A former rest house for the colonial San Agustin church – half a block away – the building has great charm and character.

Thank you so much for your kind words and continued patronage. We really appreciate you choosing us over the many other good options Oaxaca has to offer and hope you continue to do so for your next visits. I understand you may be reluctant to spread the word, but I must say we'd appreciate it if you did as we doubt it will somehow tarnish the hotel or the staff if we get more customers. It may, though, be harder to get a room so make sure you make your reservations on time! Thanks again. - Fernando

This hotel is a great deal for the price. I was surprised by it as well. This isn't the most luxurious hotel, nor are the rooms huge, but it's clean, comfortable, simple and the rooms are big enough. There is no air conditioning, and I know that can be a deal breaker for some. However there are ceiling fans and I had another fan in my room as well. I visited in September and was not bothered by excessive heat.

When we stayed there last spring, there was someone at a desk near the front door all night. There is no elevator. Steps are wide and comfortable to walk with railing. I am sure the helpful staff would help with luggage if you need it.
